yo man seriously, get your eyes checked out mate. Average human eyes can't recognize above 60Hz. But I can tell the difference between 120Hz and 80Hz. And a 10Hz sudden dip from 80 to 70 is something I can pick up as well
  2. McFly

Try OC your CPU to 4.5Ghz. I bet you would get a huge performance boost
  3. McFly

No use dude. This game CPU bound. So you can get good graphics with GTX 660Ti or even GTX 670. However, your i7 old gen CPU NEEDS TO GO!!!!
I havn't researched what's the socket for your i7 CPU, but if it is LGA 1155. Get i5 3570k and OC it to 4.4-4.5Ghz instead of getting a new GPU

Why would his CPU "NEED TO GO!1111"? PS2 doesn't even take advantage of processors from years ago. There isn't a significant enough change in i7 architecture to warrant an upgrade.
Stick with the CPU you have, just overclock it to at least 3.8GHz.

  5. Rec0n412

Low FPS on every setting; my FPS does not change whether i'm running on the highest settings, or the lowest.

    Specs are in my sig.
  6. MadCat360

Specs in sig. 30-40 FPS warpgates, 15-20 FPS facility battles. Settings don't matter much.
  7. darave

this is a sony game they have the worst and i mean worst. Reputation for frame rates on any of there games. Its the way they do there graphics have played every sony game out. All have same issues with fps sadly other games dont. So trust me its not your systems its the game and poor development
  8. InFusioN

    i7 940 @ 3.6ghz
    GTX 480
    6gb ddr3

with all settings on high i get:
60 fps in small scale fights
    30-40 in massive fights

If your press alt + f it tells you your framerate as well as whats holding the game back. at 3.6ghz for me is just the right balance, it flickers between [CPU] and [GPU]
  9. FightingFirst

CPU all the time in large fights. Only time Im GPU bound is when I go up in the air and can see the whole continent but my FPS is usually around 100 then. Still even when it says my GPU is the bottleneck my GPU is still only about 55% load.
    FF
  10. Wadziu

    AMD Phenom II 2,4 GHz
    GeForce 460 GTX
    4GB RAM
    W7 64bit

    40-60 FPS Warpgate
25-40 FPS in fights in smaller bases
15-30 FPS in big fights in big bases

Graphics doesn't make any difference, LOW or HIGH with shadows always OFF doesn't change FPS at all. I am always CPU bottlenecked. Though looking at my CPU it's still pretty good :/

2 years old laptop (4Gb RAM, ATI5870) getting 10-20 FPS (playable only as engineer and medic) in big fights on medium settings. 30-40fps on low. I guess it's ok for an ancient computer.

However today and yesterday I've got strange bug: when I used scope game started to run with like 0.5fps (1 frame per 2-3 seconds) for 5+ minutes. In one occasion had to restart game, in another game un-freezed after 5 minutes + there were glitching textures (transparent world for couple minutes).
  12. Angelos19

    Windows 8 64bit
    Asus P5QD Turbo
    E7400 @ 3.8ghz ( i can push to 4.0 ghtz if needed)
    GTX460 OC
4gb DDR2 800 ( i can overclock to 1000, but i dont think it has any difference to performance )

High: 60 with always Adaptive Vsync on
    Low: 15

I have a weird problem, when i log on at warpgate i usually have around 40-45 FPS depends on the crowd, when i go into action even in big fights my fps dont drop less than 30 which is fine for me. Although after about 30 minutes my fps drop without reason to 15-20 no matter where i am. Even if i go back to warpgate my fps stay at 20 fps... Any idea whats wrong ?

Regarding my graphics, i am playing at 1920x1200 everything at High settings except shadows and ambient occlusion. The problem is that even if i reduce my resolution and graphic settings to low or medium it doesn't have any performance difference. Also i have not installed yet the beta nvidia drivers where there have done some performance optimization for PS2.

My GPU activity is very low at 50-60% and my CPU about 70%

  14. Angstman

    Asus Sabertooth 990FX
    Phenom II X4 965 @ 3.4 GHz
    Corsair 8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1333 MHz
    gtx 560 Ti @ 2GB GDDR5
    Windows 7 64bit, running on a SSD

newest drivers for everything are installed.

I´m running the game on a 1920x1080 resolution. details don´t matter much, everything on low or medium will get me an average of 30 fps, details on high about 20-25 fps. frames drop at big structures like biolabs to around 17 fps. CPU usage is pending around 50 percent. so, WTF? optimization, anyone?
  15. sagolsun

    Specs and FPS in signature.

    Halp.
  16. McFly

3.8 isnt gonna cut it. You need to reach 4.4-4.5, and you need a good sandy bridge or ivy bridge
  17. Legitsu

because Obviously when the game is only using 40% of last gen cpus throwing a bunch of frequency at it will help LOOOOOOl
    idiots
the game engine sucks period no am mount of hardware is gonna fix a "broken engine" it needs a overhaul
  18. McFly

Well the topic is performance NOW, you are off topic
  19. Gaseous Snake

Oh boy... Is everybody using a Gigabyte motherboard?
  20. Scure

I dont have very bad performance, but i only play on 1280x1024 resolution.
    CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 3,4Ghz
    GPU: Sapphire HD6870 1GB
    RAM: 4GB
    All high, render quality 100%.
Fog shadows, motion blur, Vsync, Physix = OFF

At very active fights i have drops to 20FPS too, but its about 20-30FPS. At inactive zones, inside base, etc 30-60FPS.
