    Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ stock
    8GB DDR2-800 @ 667 (mixing RAM sucks!)
    Radeon 6950 2GB
    Gigabyte EP43-DS3L

5-15 FPS in heavy firefights at both 1920x1200 and 1680x1050. It's not exactly fun. Low/Medium/High graphics and 50/100 render quality don't seem to make much of a difference and the FPS counter always reads [CPU]. It's a shame because this is the first time I've had any problems with low framerate in years--Borderlands 2, Sleeping Dogs, Black Ops 2 (though I doubt that game pushes the gfx), X-COM, Dishonored, etc., etc., etc. have all been fine at high settings for me.

I've got a new i5-based set of parts coming my way shortly, so hopefully that'll punch things up a bit. I'm jealous of all the people complaining about "only" 30fps!
  3. JetStarKGB

Ever since a patch last night I have gone from 60 to 80 FPS to 15 to 25 despite lower res and quality changes.

    1920x1080 all settings maxed - cept.. shadows:low lighting:med graphics quality:med
    fps counter always on CPU
i get 60+ frames most of the time small battles etc.. large battles outside 40-50 everything still fine huge battles 25-30 biodomes places like that etc..

i have found that enabling v-sync and setting it to adaptive with new nvidia drivers helped alot

i also find this.. after 2 hrs of play things get bogged down and i lose some fps - restart client and gain 15-20fps... kinda strange.. memory leak?

1920x1080, everything low, 50% render. Get 40-60fps in the warpgate, 18-30 when fighting heavy battles
  6. Prophetraz

    Specs are in my Signature.

High FPS: 60-70 (when in unpopulated and/or areas devoid of large amounts of objects, such as empty hills and mountains)
Low FPS: 20-30 (when in heavy combat or in areas with many people and/or objects)

I highly doubt that this is a hardware issue, I can run Battlefield 3 at medium high settings on a 1280x1024 resolution (my native monitor resolution) without any significant problems. And yes, I know that PlanetSide 2 has much, much larger maps and more action going on, even if the engine isn't as advanced and such. But I don't see why I can't run this game well at VERY LOWEST SETTINGS (seriously, everything is set to low and I even tried setting my resolution to 1024x768 and setting my Render Quality to 80%, doesn't work)! I have already tried the "Change your render distance to 1000 in the UserOptions file, that doesn't work either. I'm honestly surprised at how poorly they set this game to run on computers, just look at how many replies this thread has! This is ridiculous!

TL;DR (for stupid people): Can't even run the game at lowest settings.
  7. NCLoyalist

    Windows 7 64 bit
    AMD A8-4500 APU(4 CPUs) ~1.9GHz
    AMD Radeon HD 7640g
    6GB DDR3
59-70 fps at warp gates 40 fps with no action or little peole 15-20 fps in fights with lots of actions(sometimes drops to 8-10 fps depending how intense it can get) low settings
  8. Mjolnir

Specs are in sig; I get ~30 fps in large battles with the indicator on "CPU." Given that I have a perfectly good modern CPU overclocked 1 Ghz I should NOT be having these problems. When my fps is lowest I have around 30-40% CPU usage, which is VERY disappointing for a game that is allegedly CPU dependent.

I also tried this in my other computer with a 3770k @ 4.1 Ghz (which isn't used for gaming because it doesn't have a dedicated GPU in it, but I put my 560 ti in for comparison), and I would get ridiculously low FPS sometimes when ANY explosions went off. Whenever I fired my tank cannon or looked in the direction of an ESF rocket volley my FPS would drop o around 10-15, and the monitor would displace "CPU," which seems to suggest that somehow a brand new, overclocked quad core ivy bridge i7 CPU is not enough to run this game at medium settings. What is going on SOE?

    CPU: AMD phenom II X4 965 (3.4ghz)
    Mobo: ASUSTeK M4A87TD EVO
    RAM: Corsair 8GB DDR3 2274MHz
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 6870 X2 Crossfire
    HDD: 1TB
    PSU: OCZ 700 watt

    i get 10-30fps
  10. Zenox

  11. Dragoneye

    Intel i7 920,
EVGA Geforce 5600 GTX 1 gig VRAM
    6 Gig ddr3 Corsair
    Win7 x64

I get 10-20 FPS in most fights on medium settings- CPU bound according to the game. The client refuses to use more than 20% of my processor.
  12. Skizerz

In sig. I get a relatively consistent 30 fps throughout (i capped it at 30), but anything under 60 i consider fps lag. I capped at 30 'cause there's no way in it's current state that I can keep a constant 60 fps once I enter battles.
  13. Skizerz

I have that exact same cpu, how are you going into battles and not being bottlenecked by cpu? You're either lieing or something's up, cause mine is ALWAYS bottlenecked by cpu and NEVER gpu, and my gpu isn't nearly as fast as yours AND I'm running at high settings.
  14. wolfva

Here are my specs; I get up to 40FPS when it's quiet, about 20 in medium battles, and lately 5-10 in big battles. I've dropped everything to low and use Game Booster 3 to shut off background programs that aren't needed.

Hope they can fix this. Can run other games fine on max settings or on high @ 1680x1050 which is my monitor's max...
  17. Ekse

playing at 2560x1600 30" monitor with GTX680. AMD Phenom II X6 1090T CPU overclocked to 4Ghz.

I get 60+ fps when Im alone, when theres 60 - 150 people in a battle my fps drops to 5 - 15. And it doesn't matter what grahics settings I use, I can go 1024x786 and still get the same 5 fps.

game says its CPU bound, I'm looking at G13 cpu display and it says 40%-60% cpu utilization.
  18. JustSe7en

    AMD Radeon A8-4500M Quad Core
    Radeon 7670m 1GB DDR3

I usually stay at 30-40 FPS on low settings with no big battles going on, but dropping to around 15-25 FPS in somewhat big battles.

    Game settings
    Medium w/ foliage off @ 1920*1080
    60-70 warpgate
    50s small fights
35-50 Big fights (dependent on number of people/location/number explosions at one time)
25-40 Hugh Half the continent is here (dependent on number of people/location/number explosions at one time)

Overall my frame rates are playable just not comfortable, I am sure my system is CPU bound but not by much. Using new beta graphics drivers from AMD, this had only minor bump of 5fps in all situations new fps is what is mentioned above. foliage is off because blades of grass get in the way when popping my head over a hill.
