The books show up right away on the main map, so shouldn't be hard to find. Barring that, there are several guards in Maldura who will give a wisp for those who don't have tracking.

where do you get that quest from ? " the gift giver"
I left maldura after the first quest line was finished and the frostfell apprentice did not gife me any more quests.
I find it strange that there is no other way back than to use recall.
I tried logging out but when I cam back on I was still in Maldura.

or are you talking about the books over the heads of people you got to talk to ? than never mind this rats cheese brain.
I was thinking to get back to the Frostfell Wonderland couldn't we just click on the sleigh?

My son ran the quest on a low level swashy, and had a lot of trouble. Many mobs are too close together and none are encounters, making it very hard for mostly encounter attack classes.

This quest should be fun, not a trial to survive on lower level characters.

Got it, Mophia! You should see the following note on the live server update:

    • City Festival Aether Races should work reliably, once again.

I can see why that would occur. I have adjusted some of their spawn points, and their wandering locations in order to minimize this. I tested it with a level 20 troub, myself, and no longer had any problems. Just make sure you keep en eye out for the wandering ones.

You should see this change listed in the Test update notes as:
    • Special Delivery - The Immolated within the Maldura Steamworks Sublevel have been spread out a bit more, and their wander areas adjusted.

Gift Giving is given out by Sira Cogtree in City of Maldura, after you have completed "Tis the Season".

LOL! Well, Uwk here himself is on Maj'Dul, but there are members of The Horde just about everywhere:

    Antonia Bayle (10 alts)
    Halls of Fate (11)
    Maj'Dul (11)
Skyfire (1 Gold toon there, holding down the fort; 8 on Silver...someday... ;->)
    Splitpaw (UK) (9)
    Stormhold (TLE) (2)
Storms (with thoughts about checking out Valor) (9; my Google Translate gets a workout, 'cause the amount of French I know would fit on my fingernail, I think)
    and
    Public Test (11)

We are Legion, or something like that, though I'm not sure if it counts if one only has 64 Gold toons, and couple dozen or so on Silver accounts, mainly just for house-visiting back in the day before the merges. ;->

And they're all pretty "young"; the next highest level adventurer after Uwk is only level 75. :-/

that's for shure a big family you got there big guy I amtrying to move my 40 plus toons around on mainly 3 servers now
got another 10 on the german server
I got so many because I used to be on Nagafen so I needed 9 on each side now I got to many characters of the same trade skill and I got to figure out who goes where  this is so hard

Something else the new zone " the workshop" has so much room for future expansions for more quests
and stuff I hope that's what you had in mind.

Spreadsheet programs like Excel are my friends and keep me relatively sane. :)

And LOL! Yeah, I know that feeling about doubling up sometimes with extra toons on servers after I'd already made nine...I really lucked out with the merges, actually, because I didn't have like 9->11 toons on one server meld with 9->11 toons on another server; Crushbone became Maj'Dul, and Everfrost became Halls of Fate. Whew! :)

I had some Silver toons on other servers that became Maj'Dul, and those were the ones I wanted to transfer over to Skyfire (it worked! Thanks, devs!), since I'd created them in the first place to go house-visiting and see other folks' places on other servers. Sigh. :-/

If they ever merge all the EU servers into one, I'll be hosed, since I have nine in England and nine in France...would be doubling up all over the place on crafting specialists (not to mention: which language would be used?). :-/

I just ran the new quest line again ( none of them Conjurors)
I have to say it ends to sudden I just stood there waiting if there was not more
there definitely needs to be a connection back to the other world physically and by storyline
or you feel like you just got abandoned
if your a low level and you just used your recall you are really stuck unless you want to try to run over to the portal
I tried it its kind of hard when you cant fly.

there are planes to consolidate all Euro servers if I remember that right they only have to figure out how to deal with all those languages

For O Frostfell Tree, what am I looking for to place the tree? I have run all around Maldura, and can't find anyplace to place a tree.
    thanks

    Found my answer.

I'm currently working through the new quests (I was one of the people Meg was hiding from), and I'm going to take a risk and possibly become really unpopular.

The new questline makes me really, really uncomfortable. We are going into Maldura and decorating the bar without talking to the bartenders or owner to ask if they want the decorations. We put a tree right outside the palace entry without checking with anyone. We are going down there and decorating their city for our holiday based on the approval of one little girl - who also tells us they already have their own Deepice gifting day, just not as elaborate as Frostfell. We don't even start talking to the locals about it until we've already got our decorations all over the place.

This is very reminiscent of customers and even some friends and my former pastor who'd emphatically tell me "It's MERRY CHRISTMAS" when I'd say Happy Holidays. Of the time my brother asked we respect his wish to celebrate Channukah with his children, and my mom wrapped their gifts in Santa Claus paper and wished them Merry Christmas. Of dozens of incidents over the years that happen when you have a multicultural background and the people in your life from those various cultures insist you are not giving theirs enough respect.

I know Frostfell isn't religious, but there's no denying that it takes its themes and trappings from Christmas. And dumping those themes and trappings on other people without so much as a 'by-your-leave' is really disconcerting.

edit: Okay, it occurred to me if I was going to complain about something, I should at least offer up alternative options. Is it too late for use to be able to ask one of the NPCs, like a guard captain or even Queen Alwenielle, about putting up the tree and introducing the holiday? Can we at least ask Aidan if we can decorate the bar before we start?

o wow how thoughtless f me Lodrelhai you got a point there I think the easiest way to fix this would be to ask the person with the highest authority, the queen but I did Beta I never got to talk to her . Or ad a line or two to the dialog, like the girl would tell you that she already asked .
And that people were open to trying new ideas.
This could also open up some new quests for next year where some people protest and have to be convinced
I mean we kill the guy that does not like the decorations that is even worse.
