Which is what everyone but the people in the raiding guilds have been screaming. We have all been in a raiding guild in the past. We all know how to do this content. Even buffed, we know how it works. Now with rotations being something, we are going to be moving in to do this content as well.

You guys that were arguing against instancing have been on the wrong side of the argument. I hope you remember this when we there are 5 guilds or more on these rotations. Instancing is the way to fix this, but in your ability to monopolize content, you've forgotten that anything else will end up making you suffer.

    And here we are.

If we go by the system that Lockjaw uses (1 hour after spawn you lose your rights) - 'casual guilds' won't be killing Nagafen (or others) anyway.

There's probably only 3 or 4 guilds on Ragefire that can down raid content and that number drops if it spawns out of prime time.

Do like Korea, where you need to use your SSN to play MMOs and they ban you by that :p

Presumably the raid indenture would include something like that

I'd love to write it :)

That was how those that interfered with the rotations on at least some servers were handled, yes. (or other forms of "time out" - I remember having to let a few people out of the Qeynos Sewers lockup after their time from such was done as a Guide forget if such behavior was why or for another timeout though)

It's a positive change, but I can't help thinking back to the largely voluntary raid rotations in Plane of Time back in the day. Maybe it was different on Morell Thule than on other servers, but even with the rotations conflicts were common and it wasn't unusual for a guild to decide that the time assigned to another was "unfair" and would over-stay their time or just run in when they decided to. Then there were problems caused by new guilds getting up to speed and wanting their place.

Okay, the races to a raid spot were fun, up to a point, but along with the excitement of getting there ahead of time were solid risks in getting there. Get a whole raid through Emerald Jungle to CoM, or have to run back there without equipment to recover from a wipe. You keep a guild of hundreds of people so you might have enough to get there and raid when the boss was up.

The raid mobs are farmed for high end loot that can be sold. Take the "sale" out of it and you won't have to be babysitting every raid mob that appears in the game. There's no reason that stuff should be selling for Kronos (which goes around the Noble idea and the original concept of Kronos. If people need Kronos to play then they should be doing it on servers where they're earning an appropriate amount of plat not by selling off an individual piece of raid equipment off an intended raid boss.

Those numbers will change drastically if rotations are enforced. Assuming that things will stay the same as rulesets change is what causes these stupid changes we have seen thus far on the content.

If rotations are enforced, and raids need 72 people for content, we will see a lot of the smaller guilds either falling apart as people leave or merging to make that happen. There was no point prior to this because even if they did combine, they'd be competing with TL for the spawns.

Instancing, whether or not it takes time to implement, is the only sure-fire way to resolve this.

A better approach than enforcing rotations, would be to go ahead and instance one of the raid zones in the next month and announce the others will follow. Leave the world spawns to whomever can mobilize for them. Even just instancing the planes would be acceptable to a great majority of us.

We continue to see poor implementation trying to solve this issue. Please address it directly and stop trying to make minor content changes to resolve it. You are making the player base not trust you and you are fostering a poor environment for everyone.

Angryiksar must be smooth, who wants to get these mobs so he can buy more krono and sell for $ on 3rd party sites.

You don't even pay for subs Smooth, so your threat is empty. All the krono you buy to sustain your huge box crew + RMT are paid for by casuals, who are going to keep buying krono to sell long after any supposed "cancelling" you might do.

More mobs for the rest of us!

Interesting how many of those who oppose the rotations are new forum accounts. Many of which who joined today, which leads me to believe that they are the accounts of somebody's box.

If they was truly new people to EQ and to the TLP, they would not have much of a clue as to the toxicity that the 'dps race brah' endorsers cause.

Then why not post on your main account? :p

This would make more sense if they didn't just change the raid scene significantly earlier this week. Are they planning on undoing the earlier changes to planar bosses and minis? If not; this decision seems unnecessary at this time.

Sounds like you need to take a break and ignore forums, you obviously are addicted and can't control yourself.

That's because the Twisted Locusts aren't on Lockjaw...

I thought you all at times had GM's arbitrating spawns though, I heard some of the same horror stories we experienced iirc. But I wasn't there so will defer to you.

it's winning and tiger blood all the way baby!

some of the tl people aen't so blinded to how their own actions caused this newest fiasco, some... well they are the charlie sheens of the game.

Not on Vulak, there was no GM involvement. Going of memory, they (SOE) stated that they didn't feel involvement was necessary on Vulak and that was their mistake.
When the raid rotations went up on Fippy we asked for the same, then we asked for transfers. We received neither and by the time transfers were implemented, there was pretty much just EoE left to jump ship.
Iirc the GM enforced rotations on Fippy turned into /petitionquest and had the GM just throwing his hands in the air and giving up?

Faceless and EOE rotated mobs to a degree but was barely ever any GM stuff - and plenty of breaks of it here and there. (Entirely by EOE, I think...?)

For what it's worth, mages or any other pet class can legitimately pull all the giants in Naggy's lair without ever aggroing Naggy (no hacks or even legitimate 3rd party software required.) So you don't even need to use /q.
