well saying nothing has changed in copyright is correct, i was mainly talking about the context what could be used in said sub catagories of the copywritten context has, being not every dcuo hero/villain is under the same rules as one another. i think you and most who read my word salad understand that. saying that the copyright hasn't changed is like saying when someone loses there wallet, they have to ask if they lost there money too.

It's been a long time since I've seen people struggle so mightily to find a reason to argue over something so basic.

Styles are a big seller and they are fairly easy to pump out (especially when you have great artists). They are far easier to pump out than new powersets as they don't require balance, animations, etc.

When you build a house you generally hire a contractor. The contractor isn't building the house, they hire different specialists to do different things. A plumber is doing the plumbing, carpenters are doing the woodwork, electricians are running wiring, etc.

In that exact same vein, the Styles team are making styles while the team which makes combat content are making raids and duos and open world stuff and no matter how much stuff the Styles team churns out it isn't impacting the difficulty of the raids because those are separate teams.

I've long advocated for more content per DLC (I've said many times I think the amount we got with Riddled With Crime was almost what we should see on average, just add another raid and the amount of content would be perfect for an average) as well as PVP fixes, etc. Things like styles and memberships are how we get them paid for (in the case of PVP and possibly powersets, that's also a case of getting people in management who actually see that as a priority, but that's aspect is a whoooooole other topic).

I think you have to purposefully misread and invert the meaning of some words to get to this conclusion. Let me repeat:
    • Our content updates are not smaller nor do we plan for them to be smaller.
    • Making more money (from cosmetics or anywhere) means we have a bigger team and bigger content updates, features, etc., than we otherwise would have.
    • Style collecting has not just always been a fun part of the game, but a core component of your character's journey.
If you're going to quote me into a bizarre argument, you need to actually quote me.
