Full patch notes up for GU4

    Won't change a single thing about prowler spam, as tanks assist eachother through splash damages. It will only affect lone prowlers.

    The MBT spam will continue for as long as there are no vehicle specialisations, or when they get nerfed to the point where a 1/2 Flash can solo an MBT. You call something a Main Battle Tank, and the masses will swarm with them if they have no real restrictions.

    No fix to the bug that makes extra rocket cert disabled after revival? :( I want my 6 rockets for decimator, not just 4.

    Anyway I'm gonna enjoy the flash seat thing. :D I'm gonna drive people with my turbo, flying over obstacles.

    THeres nothing wrong with combined arms warfare.

    There is something wrong with 70 Prowlers, or for that matter MAgriders rolling across the map decimating all before them. Thats an issue with balance and a lack of counters.

    Now there are plenty of counters. What this patch will do is not only further intentivise risky behavior to take down MBT's it will also give HA's and Engi's slightly more chance of not just being HE'ed to **** from afar.

    Instant action has been redesigned to be a single button press, with no on-map indication of where it will send the player, but it will still hot-drop them onto a facility with heavy combat. This is to prevent people from exploiting instant action as an organizational tool, which is what people were using it for previously. If you are in a squad and not the leader, a second button for squad deploy will appear.

    There's something funny about the fact that they add the battle rifle category to depot, but don't take a first stab at balancing the battle rifle. Hmm.

    Sounds like your vehicle will instantly stop when you jump out. Good in some cases, but sounds like it'd stop some things like the video of the C4 flash, or jumping out of a ground vehicle (like the lightning) with forward momentum to have it run someone over while you shoot another person.

    Sounds like auto shotguns didn't get an ammo pool increase and they were already skimpy on ammo relative to the semi-autos.

    Confused by this as well. I don't run low, but I thought the problem with low was that it made infiltrators always visible not invisible?

    The cloak effect on low graphics settings will no longer make the infiltrator completely invisible

    I was hoping the VR room would allow for mixing factions up. Oh well, it'll be good for the people who want to do things like "Flight School".

    Now I just gotta find a good Scythe pilot to practice with me so I can get better at dog fighting.

    Edit: A 30% damage nerf is a blessing for you guys. You had an effective 2x DPS on the other two MBT's so now you only get a 20% DPS advantage on the other two MBT's. Also, you're tank still has 2 shells with a refire rate of 0.5 so it'll still be SIGNIFICANTLY easier to kill groups of infantry (unlike the VS or NC which have to hope the infantry are asleep/AFK/not paying attention for 3.5/4 seconds so they can get a second shot in).

    With those xp changes you can expect about 20% of players on line at any time being people flying around with tank mines looking for something to drop on. Why would they do something like pull an AP tank when it's so much easier to harvest the sweet xp with tank mines.

    Prowlers have double ammunition, double clip size and faster reload speed than Magrider/Vanguards.

    Also, NC you'll have LOTS of fun with those TR now and their Prowler spam as you share the south side of Indar, enjoy!

    fantastic... do you guys think all the Bugfixes are listed there? like spawning with no health or shield displayed?
    and what about the Vanguard Shield Issue,
    Higby spoke about 9 pages of Patch notes, i do hope bug fixes like those aren't just listed, we'll see iguess

    The changes to NS Salvage and ARC Bio will be interesting to see. I guess Indar will soon be taken on Waterson now when the TR lose their one little impossible to take base.

    He doesn't get that because everybody in the game has at least one rank of flak and nanoweave, our tanks actually never one shot with the inner splash damage.

    Prowlers will still be able to reliably kills infantry targets wearing up to flak armor 3(at 4 it becomes impossible to kill infantry with a single Prowler magazine unless you get a direct hit).

    It really boggles my mind how stupid some TR players are.


    And on a sidenote, the Pandora is not mentioned in the ammunition section, so it'll probably still have 6 shots less than the other faction equivalents. But hey, at least the Pandora still has 0 bullet drop. Derp.

    I don't think this affects vehicle momentum at all, but the bug that (for me, almost always) caused vehicles to start accelerating by themselves if you exited them when they weren't completely stopped. I've lost count how many times I've lost my Lightning or Flash after it ran away from me when I jumped out to repair, usually right out of cover into enemy fire. I'm so glad they finally addressed this...
