Holiday House Exchange (HHE19) Official Announcement Thread

It is that time again, time for the Holiday House Exchange (HHE19) sign ups for 2019!

What is HHE19 you ask? It is a House Swap that will run thru Erollisi Day, Bristlebane Day and Brew Day!

The event will run from February 1st - April 30th. That is 89 days to decorate. Plenty of time to scheme, enjoy the events, decorate, scheme some more, change mind and start over (If your like me).

How to sign up:

If you are interested, please send the following information to Aney2018@gmail.com

• You can put up multiple homes to be chosen from your decorator if you like so include that as well

Where it is :
The Maj'Dul, Skyfire, Halls of Fate, Antonia Bayle, and Thurgadin servers.This is open to other servers if there is interest.

Who can participate :

Anyone and everyone! We want to see all of you participate. I read about folks that like to decorate but are nervous about doing something for someone else. Now is a great time to get in there and show your skills. I promise your Homeowner will be very happy with what you do! AND once you do one event, you kinda get hooked.

Why such a long event?

In order to include all three of the above holidays, We like for everyone to be able to acquire any new or existing items we may get for them, so for instance if a home is being decorated exclusively for Bristlebane Day, the decorator *should* have plenty of time to craft or purchase the items they need.

Next Step:

Name your home HHE19 and give Trustee access to Aneylee. (I currently DO NOT have toons on the servers not listed so if there is interest I will do so)
Place a book in your home for your decorator that gives them some information on YOU. Do you want all hearts, do you like to craft beer, cut your toe nails in the living room? Well this is how we let them know what it is that you want. You can also just give a history on your toon and give them free dibs on your home!

*Also make sure your rent is paid as well*

Additional stuff you can do for your Decorator:

A house actor of yourself
A guild hall door to make it easier for them to travel
Portal pads if you would like to give them the option of breaking out or breaking in
A housing expander (You could also point out in your book that you would be willing to place one if requested)




If you are only able or willing to do a smaller home, or will only be able to decorate a room or two, please include this information in your email. I don't want anyone feeling overwhelmed but please keep in mind that sometimes I am not able to accommodate this particular need to everyone's satisfaction.


If you would like to decorate multiple homes, You may do so. Just be sure to let me know in the email with your sign-up information.


Want to help out but not actually do a home yourself? Please let me know. If you are interested in being a Helper send me an email and I will make a list of Helpers by servers in case anyone needs.

Due to past events, I want to say that if you feel overwhelmed or can not finish your project, please let me know. Real life happens and can slap us in the face. That is understandable. But a heads up will make sure that no one zones into an empty home as well.

I know that does not give a lot of time to sign up but the event time is quite long so if you feel you may be interested please sign up!

And yes the more interested the more likely we can add more servers

I've missed doing things on Test for so long...regular contests/challenges, like Niboota (and Shanette and Oaky? I think so) used to hold, could be done anywhere, since we didn't have to have anyone else on the server participating. But this is fun, too.

I've been in the mood to decorate. When I grabbed the house to use for the swap, I had to talk to myself sternly to stop from decorating just a little

Just a reminder that this event runs 3 whole months. Yes, I keep trying to make that sound like a Loooonnnnggg time

I will be adding helpers to the original post with those that have emailed me as well as the Helper Post that was started. Alot of folks are willing to help out with items, ideas and anything else that you may need. You may need to supply the materials needed and offer to do their laundry, but the help will be there! And as always the Homeshow Channel is there too.

Hi Aney!

I know that there might not be anyone else who signs up for Fallen Gate, but I just wanted to check to be sure that you received my email entry.

My house is all ready to go if/when it's time to start. (And, if not, I guess I'll have to decorate her house myself. *laughs*)

Lots of us have alts on Fallen Gate. Just be patient while Aney sorts out the entries! Which house are you going to use?

Patience? That's still a thing? *grins, totally teasing, of course*

The only reason that I asked about the entry was that she mentioned that her inbox was empty and I'd sent one in, but I had to set up a new email account/board account (since I'm a long-time lurker) and was worried that I might have been filtered to spam as a seemingly new person.

I've got my eye on a Freeport 3-room for one of my alts. I'm so excited to tour all of the homes! It's been a long time since I've decorated for anyone besides myself or my guild, so I'm looking forward to a new challenge.
