    The enchanter changes are way too much.
    Unity rune having recast over doubled is just wrong.
    Chrome haze procing of the next dot hit, also completely wrong
    If I understand this, the mana cost of unity going from:
    4788 to 2150+2988+1339=6477 is also uncalled for
    As for the charm values, I would have to test them to see the difference.
    Please reconsider the changes you are proposing, they really are too much

    Totally agreed.
    If Chromatic Haze procs off a DoT - it eliminates the ability to use it wisely. HUGE nerf.
    Doubling unity rune recast? WHY??? Huge nerf on survivability in a pinch.

    Speaking as an Enchanter since '99 who never saw reason to post here before;
    Excuse the ever living %^&* out of me? Really??
    Just to impart a clue rake.... Enchanters cannot "rune tank" any raid mobs or EoK named. PERIOD.
    Rune tanking of single trash mobs IS possible - but it takes so long to kill them solo that it's not worth it.
    The faster rune and the hate it generates allows us to perhaps "rune tank" for a little bit to save a group wipe - this is situational and part of "crowd control" - when the crowd gets ugly.
    I know Daybreak above and foremost understands only the language of CA$H.
    If this goes through, my box Mage will remain Silver for the rest of this expansion!!!
    Please don't construe this as a "threat" for the sake of board rules - because it's a promise!

    Something isn't right with Gift of Hazy Thoughts. The way you worded the change you made it sound as if the DoT must have an initial DD component as well as a DoT/tick. Below is the Test spell data.

    Played around on Test for awhile and look at this. Mind Storm is eating the Gift of Chromatic Haze procs but is not critting due to it being a DoT tick. You do realize that in this form we will lose a ton of DPS from Haze procs being ate without critting by DoTs, whereas normally they were ate on Nuke Casts right?

    Either fix it to function and crit on DoT ticks too, or change it back so only DD's can eat the procs.

    Sks can swarm EoK mobs without a healer.
    That means they are overpowered.
    Even after this, all tanks are still overpowered.

    it would need tested and compared. I hope they mean there was some uber powerful mob that they fixed the values on and its not a blanket change to many npcs.
    More description on that bullet point would be nice though.

    If the intention was to give some ability for necros to be able to utilize Gift of Chromatic Haze procs without using a dd, and to ensure it didn't get insane for their individual dps numbers by both allowing 100% crit rate and 40% Base increase on the same dot tick every GoCh proc, I get that. But you effectively just neutered enchanter dps for those of us that dot and nuke for absolutely no reason.

    Not to mention the fact that necros don't need dps help. They are fine as it is.

    Change CH and Hazy Thought procs back the way they were. This is stupid

    The Chromatic Haze changes are sad unless they change them to affect both a dot AND a dd. Otherwise chanters going to have to hold off on dots until after they've fired CH.

    Merc changes sound good on paper. But that's a lot of code to modify. Wizzie mercs need about 20% dps boost at full modification though. Even my mage runs circles around their dps and he's not even trying.

    CH is just our AA though. We are effectively losing dps on every GoCH passive proc from dds, stuns or dots.

    If this stays how it is on test, the following will occur.

    Nuke based parses to see where DPS is without DoTs.

    Nuke/dot based parses to see where DPS is without controlling GoCH charges and how they are ate

    Its a very very poor change imo.

    Came here to make this same point; how will this help at all unless you've fixed using agents of change in picks. I looked and didn't see that in the patch notes. Oversight (missing form the notes) or another half-thought out fix for a problem you created by putting 16ish AoC's in one zone?

    Some really poorly thought out changes here.

    Load Balancing PoTranq without accompanying notes about either AoCs being moved or usable in picks.

    Pick nerfs without a severe reduction in numbers needed to spawn a pick; most caps seem to be around 40-50, yet most exp zones (at least for Vel / Luclin / PoP on Phinny) only hold 2-3 groups before becoming mob starved; no consideration for "a group member dies, group over".

    This looks like a crit to me; there isn't an explicit message stating that a DoT crits. So I'd imagine it can crit, it just isn't guaranteed like for nukes.

    I would test it to make sure, but login servers are down :oops:

    Yeah that one did look like a crit for sure. Should still be allowed crit rate 100% was my point. Otherwise revert it back to DD because all we gain is 40% base + if the dot was gonna crit anyways. Still a bump to a degree but most would agree they would rather control that GoCH proc to ensure it critted on a nuke than gamble and just get a 40% base dot tick increase. Its win win for the necros for sure, but classes that dot/nuke like enchanters it doesn't allow you to choose what eats the charge if you are doing both.

    It's not like we proc GoCH all the time anyways.

    That's the issue, yes. The new lines added to the spell data:

    This combined with the wording in the patch notes leads us to believe the change is intended to allow Chromatic Haze and Hazy Thoughts to affect DoT damage but without modifying the critical hit chance, effectively rendering this as a nerf to any class that has both DoTs and nukes, since you can't consistently control which DoT tick the damage will be applied to, and the only way to ensure the charge is eaten by a nuke would be to run an audio trigger for DoT ticks and cast a fast-cast nuke right after your dots tick.

    We would very much like this to be reconsidered.
