I personally don like the SD because its stationary and I'm a very mobile dps always being up on the boss or wiping the mobs. If I have to stop to drop a SD is it then run back to it before its gone, it's stoping me from doing damage. I would rather use something that is a set it and forget it like the SK and back up
If you're running with a nature healer that uses Cross-pollination, I believe it will actually help him. If you really wanted to help the heals from cross-pollination, I bet Backup would be better than sidekick. That shouldn't be your focus, obviously, just playing devil's advocate here.
By setting your CC, OS IV, and Supply Drop Trinkets in the top left of your inventory, the 3 can be interchanged during their relatively long cooldowns(and there is usually always time to change them out like tag outs & cutscenes) I start with the CC, switch to Orbital, then switch to Supply Drop, then back to CC. Allows me to keep FOS, Pumpkin and PvP Trinket on my belt at all times.
you can still be mobile and use supply drop, its not a trinket just to spam whenever it has the longest cooldown of any dlc trinket at just over 5min but in situations where you are going to be surround by mobs and you will have other players around you pretty much any boss in Fos2 or Prime BG, the 2nd Boss in Gates, pretty much any boss in both operations you not only buff your damage 50% for 8 seconds but your pretty much safe unless its an extreme damage situation to unleash hell with your dps. In that 8 secs you can get off 2 pushing 3 full HL rotations and a Strafing Run, now if that is going to "stop" or "slow" your dps then i dunno...
dont you have to be inside the SD for you to be safe? and is the 50% damage buff on you for 8 seconds or only for the next power thrown? Another thing if you have to stand in it for 8 seconds then your FFF and AAA are not going to work with it.
I've been using all the combos in this forum and tinkering with a few of my own. So far have been using the sidekick robot. Also got rid of anvil, besides the iconic robot, I have the two dps tactical iconics, nano weave armor, powerful resistance, wisdom of Solomon for the extra 100 power, and iconic hard light shield to clip it with orbital strike/sidekick call and since it provides shielding and a little health regen due to the mod. I'm trying to incorporate light barrier but don't want to lose my other iconic innates. Last week in gates we were at the last boss and everyone got pretty much one shoted. The tank and I were the only ones standing and I was flashing red, I'm assuming the innates saved my life, the tank did his orbital strike and we beat it.
I don't know if this has been tested but would like to see some data for people who put Precision IV on all sockets ignoring all Critical affinities against someone who put the correct mods in and received the affinities.
Very interesting, I once got out dpsed by another fellow HL by not a significant amout I say around 40k. But there were factors involved, he was pretty much Rambo-ing it. Did notice his rings were might and precision 4. My chest, back, legs, helmet and shoulders are still mod 3s though....
Thats what I do too. I use 3 mods instead of 4s because I think there not worth it but like i said I'll do some testing
The difference in a fully modded Precision based character and say a half modded Prec HL running the same loadout is quite significant. Especially if that loadout is C-HC-Ram-WT with WD in there somewhere. I always get beat by WD users because it really is too good, clip able cheap, big damage on a precision character. Unfortunately I do not use WD as I feel it won't stay the way it is so no point respecting to SS. Once you get within 100/200 Precision of another HL the gap closes with skill.
