So then here are some facts:
    1. The gameplay is too fast paced and 90% of the time I don't activate CC every 20 seconds and often cancel it with another trinket

    2. Orbital strike hits hard but too slow

    3. With the mod shield regenerates health

    5. I,m guessing Orbital strike + SR have the same cooldown time ( sc recharge rate )

    6. Iconic robots adds 25,000 damage at least.

    7. Shield saved my azz numerous times.

I'm going to run 1 week without SR but with OS and LB and see how it goes.

I just went back through all GUs and DLC patch notes. Did Ctrl+F (Find) for "Dom" and "Shield"
I'm pretty sure Chill is right, the first hit was GU6.

Hard Light Shield: 100% Dom - 50% Resto
    Iconic Shield: 100% Dom - 100% Resto

Still wouldn't restro help a bit more with the shield heal mod?
  4. Zur-En-Arrh28 New Player

    OMAAR,

Technically yes. Although I did try getting all the Resto SKILL points (didn't try with Iconics too)
and noticed a very minimal increase in the Heal from the mod. I think our Resto is just too low for it to make much of a difference.

This is the answer I wanted. I'll still test it though ( you know me ) :D
  6. Bishop New Player

You can clip OS with Sidekick which can then be clipped with a trinket. If you don't have Sidekick, you can clip OS with Trinket or LB.

    Bishop

I know Light Shield is useful, but I cannot seem to convince myself to replace dervish+robot in operations/raids where it is safe to get close. I like that combo. Only use the shield in boss fights.
Also your gonna try getting rid of stafing run? It's so good
  8. Nem El New Player

hey guys, nem el here from eupc. ommar great guide and glad the new one is taking a more technical approach with many different angles being discussed.

I agree that lb is a great power for pvp and in some pve it can be good at saving me and for clipping but I am not sure if it does more dmg than robot. but happy for math to prove me wrong.

one power I do think is worth going in to our layout is nvb. I no its power hungry but if I have the power I love to pop nvb into ram, wt and clip with whatever. nvb adds might dmg for every X number of precision moves. you perform this on a group of adds and watch the yellow numbers appear all over the place. love it of ommar can produce figures on this :)

Personally I use the sidekick over the OS for the simple facts that he heals you an the shield I use is the one that pops from the absorption mod. But you my friend will not be disappointed running with out an SC, it's like I said I'm never using it again lol

Thanks for the awesome Guide! I've been fiddling with these on my new Lantern, and they're awesome.

I'm confused about a couple of things.

    1. For AAA, do you combo back into Ram from Hold Claw?
    2. Are these intended to have weapon combos after them? Or do you just re-clip with the first power?
    3. What is SSS?

    1. Yes
    2. Use power, I will not say always use power as I have yet to test 1 hander
    3. SSS will be added tomorrow ( Godwilingly ) Ram-Snaptrap/Power snap trap-Fan-Jump

Great to have more PC HL players and welcome.

I think it goes as survival vs the extra bit of dps for robot vs LB. For most of us it's +-5% in dps. Even I amusing melee weapon instead of a rifle for more fun.

I have tested NVB numerous times and it along with chompers and Spikequake they make you LOSE dps.
  13. OMAAR New Player

I hope you are correct as any change of pace is welcome.

Ya me too, I'd hate to look bad lol jk jk
It's works for me and may not work for all.
Do you need me to pm you my load out for you to try or do you still have it from the other forum?
  16. ObsidianChillSucks New Player

Except then you are annoying your tank using sidekick as that trinket will steal aggro from numerous npc adds or the boss itself while its summoned making the tanks job more difficult.
  17. SmokingGuns New Player

actually my sidekick stealing aggro from the tank is only increasing the tanks life that much longer. you make it seem like the sidekick is out there for the whole raid or something.
  18. ObsidianChillSucks New Player

no, but when that aggro is stolen that is the bosses attention towards where your standing which is more than likely with the group. So any boss projectile attacks like say fat clown in the Tala fight now come towards the sidekick beside you and deals aoe damage to everyone around you instead of just hitting the tank whom would have the clown facing away from the group. Besides that it means that when it is summoned that is more npc adds the tank would not be able to group up and once the sidekick aggro phase is done its back to attacking raid members if it hasn't been downed already. It interrupts the flow of the raid and really doesn't serve a purpose raid content wise. The power it restores is only 300 and comes sparingly over its use and the health is larger with 1k+ heals but your getting that from your healers anyway, whom are now over healing you and wasting power because they cannot guess when your sidekick is going to heal you.
  19. OMAAR New Player

Interesting to know about the sidekick. We are already an Aggro challenged powerset ( thanks to turtling tanks ) and I don't want a mob even looking at me!

Now another thing the power/health giving abilities of the sidekick is sadly weak.
  20. ObsidianChillSucks New Player

yea don't get me wrong I love sidekick, its awesome for solo instances, soloing alerts or even in 4man alerts. It just doesn't have a place in raids where you'd have 2 controllers and 2 healers and a Tank. Its best just to run Supply Drop IV and you'd not only buff ur damage 50% but give a huge heal and power boost to anyone that walks through it.
