i like where my mods are and if the results show something better then what i have ill switch accordingly when the new finally drops.
  2. SmokingGuns New Player

I have a different rotation but I knew it was better to run with out an SC!!! there is and always will be the naysayers though.
  3. OMAAR New Player

I will not say better, but say a different path. I am sure they are all within 2-3% of each other.

Depends on the raid, there are some you can get away without a SC and not really affect any dmg totals, others you'll fall behind not running one if your in a competitive raid. Any of the T2 or even T3 raid's you'd be safe adds are pretty spread out, except for Broodmother in Fos1, and some certain parts of Fos2. Ops: WAV not really needed you could swap it in on Eclipso for the shadow phase and be fine. Black Dawn and Prime BG its essential you'll be missing out on a ton of dmg just using the robot >.< instead of SC. But everyone can each their own ;)

I dont want to sound like a dick here but unless you have tried it dont assume im losing out on DPS. I havent run a SC for the past 2 months and have no plans to go back right now. Im not swapping out the SC for the robot HAHAHA Ive swapped it out to do more AOE damage through out the raid and on the boss with adds to compensate or do more then just using the SC on the bosses fights. im not running the LB either just to many power points waisted in my opinion getting it, with my loadout im able to get 5 iconics plus the robot.
  6. SmokingGuns New Player

well your loadout is different then mine what im using is working out better for me then a SC.
  7. RamsesVIIX New Player

To each their own, I was like you about LB too many power points wasted to get there, but now that I specced into it I'm loving it. I'm sacrificing a few iconics for it, so far it seems worth it. Now I'm thinking of swapping out the SC for the Robot...

Im not on this thread to judge anyone's rotations or loadouts, whatever one feels comfortable with I would not tell them otherwise. I'm on this thread to share what my experiences, rotations, loadouts etc that has made me into 1 of the best HL dpser's on the entire PC server. All I can offer is my advice, taking 5 iconics is a bit excessive where im imagining your taking the +50def and +100 health where you could pick up LB get the same effect and get extra dmg in return, and I did use the robot for awhile back when ST's dots were changed so that they didn't stack but found other things to compensate. Robot is only good the longer a raid is, if its a quick run then your not going to get #'s from it. On the PC side at least with solid pugs no raid runs longer then 25min, none of them so SC will top whatever that robot will do. Once again whichever your personally comfortable running thats what you do.

On another subject, we as DPS should we spec more into health or defense in SP?

It to bad our paths cant cross one day in game to compare one anothers note, im on the usps3 server. I see what your saying though, I could take the SC and not run the Robot and keep what I have originally swapped in place of the SC. But I still only find the SC good for 2 or maybe 3 used. Im not doubting that you may or may not be 1 of the best HL on the PC I myself feel the same way but on the PS3, Ive been HL for over a year, no one runs my rotation ATM (from what ive noticed), it works extremely well and hits very hard. I can PM it to you, if you would like to check it out.

What exactly is your "secret loadout?" I'm a bit curious myself now.

Thank you for this guide Omaar, i recently switched to HL and im liking it so far.

Just one question, i got every neck in-game except the prec neck from dlc 6. Is it worth it to use the dlc6 might neck with escalating might and lose out on about 14prec instead of the lockbox precision neck?
  15. Geslin New Player

hey i got a question umm i dont have the super speed movement before i do go buy a movement changing token would Low pressure be a ok alternative?
  16. SmokingGuns New Player

Regarding my loadout omaar has it now, of he posts it you all will have it.
  17. OMAAR New Player

SS just gives WD nothing else. Yes it does awesome damage but the power consumption becomes huge and you cannot use it constantly.
  18. OMAAR New Player

Yes it, the general rule is 3:1 meaning 3 might to 1 precision and escalating might offsets that number by a massive margin.

Yeah I figured that, thanks Zur. Must continue listening to Calvin Harris - Feel So Close. Just came back from the club. LOL!!!!!

I would say superspeed adds two things. One Omaar mentioned, is Whirling Dervish. This is the only attack power in the game (that I'm aware of) that can be clipped with another attack power. It means you can slip it into any rotation and will add free damage without the rotation taking any longer to execute. That will likely be nerfed. Until it is, it has the drawback of costing a lot of power. Using it increases the odds that you'll cause a controller's hair turn grey early. Low pressure would not be an equivalent replacement.

The second thing is that it is the fastest for getting around the battlefield while in combat. If positioning plays a role in your playstyle, superspeed can make it so you're not losing time in movement thereby losing damage.

In either case, it's not NECESSARY.
