    Question: So you coded this all in python and microsoftVS? I'll be following this project, really great stuff.
    Do you have a method to convert the .dds files to a lossless image format?

    Ah dds is MS directdraw surface format, I'll just find a converter.

    SOE already stated not to use any 3rd party programs....

    Just extract the *.packs, move it to a VM, eliminate file-sharing and mess with it there (or log-in once, download PS2 files). If you suspect rootkity goodness, delete the VM when you're done with it.

    ps2ls v1.1 has now been released, which includes the addition of the new model browser. :)

    Well, there's a lot of unreleased content, I see :

    [IMG] VS SMG
    [IMG] TR SMG
    [IMG] TR Auto Pistol
    [IMG] Common Pool Scope
    [IMG] "Max Proxy Cannon"
    [IMG] Double clip

    I guess most of those have been scrapped, or they're just not added to the game yet

    Uhh, I can't seem to resize images, sorry, they were supposed to be smaller :D

    Neat stuff!

    If it hasn't already been done, I hope this means somebody can build an automatic "patch notes" generator, since SOE seems to be lacking in that department.

    Great work, man. This makes me hope they make a community content driven store like TF2 so I can make custom helmets and what not.. Looking forward to updates!

    I just tested out the obj exporter in 3ds max.. looks like there is an issue with some polygons where some vertices aren't welded.. I put a push modifier on the mesh to demonstrate:

    Is there a way you could ad the textures to the models?
    OBJ supports texture export, so that would be great.
    Perhaps just the standard ones for each model, adding the camos later =)
