Liberator REALLY OP now

    Worst update ever! Libs just park overhead and farm infantry now. I hated Libs before, but now...... Maybe noobs in a Lib, but at this point in the game updates should be made to balance out the maxed out players. Level 100 Lib pilots don't even evade anymore, just sit there and farm because nothing can touch them. Dalton should be an anti-vehicle only. SERIOUSLY reduce the blast damage. It is not an anti-infantry weapon. I'm seeing Libs rack up 50+ kill streaks against infantry...... Why did you buff the armor in the first place? AVERYONE knows a Lib is just a farm vehicle!

    The Dalton's inner blast damage was just reduced to 700, down from 1000... You have a few options: Use a skyguard, which probably won't kill the liberator, but it will keep it out of infantry render range, fly an ESF, Liberators are not as fast as ESFs, and dalton rounds are not going to hit an ESF that is several hundred meters away, or get your own liberator and kill the others.

    All of these things are better with proper teamwork. A bunch of zerglings without any kind of directive are not going to be able to stay alive when a coordinated liberator team who knows what they're doing is around. It shouldn't be expected that a bunch of zerglings would survive such a thing.

    The game has come full circle. The Lib master race has returned after their year long hiatus. Reserve your corner of the spawn room now since you won't be able to step out unless you find yourself a spot on a friendly Lib crew.

    If they park above you, you throw rockets.

    If they fly above you, you deploy Skyguards, Bursters and G2A Rockets.

    And if they are flying too high, you find a friend and hunt the said Liberator with ESFs.

    It isn't OP if you can do something about it but can't be bothered.

    Flak is still effective from 3 hexes away in every direction.

    I would assume a 150mm cannon round would be pretty effective against infantry. Instead we get this.

    Because liberators died before causing any damage. Maybe now they can be useful outside farming an overwhelmed enemy.

    A 150mm AP or HEAT round to an aircraft would blow it to bits......the velocity of the round flying through the plane would be similar to a Sabot round to a tank.....would blow it to bits.... Ofc 150s are bad AP rounds, but HE? Or HEAT? Aircraft dont tend to take explosive decompression all that terribly well...toss in a shell actually blowing up inside it? lol....it'd be no different then lighting off a bomb on an Airliner....

    Except none of those except maybe chasing it down in an ESF or Liberator of your own will actually net the kill.

    Liberators and Rocket Podders can always just pack up their camping gear when the farmed people start pulling AA, and fly off to the next small base fight to ruin it instead. Meanwhile the people that pulled the AA are stuck at the first base, now with worthless vehicles/gear, and wasted resources.

    There is no way that anyone in the SOE office actually believes this update is balanced and fair. It's just impossible.

    Stop with this nonsense SOE and please start doing what is right.

    It now takes 4 titan AP rounds to kill a full composite lib, or 7 AP prowler rounds.

    Just like after the ESF update, stuck on permanent skyguard and burster max duty...

    I hadn't logged in post update but that is insane. The TTK on a Tank Buster run can easily out DPS a Prowler, maybe even a deployed one, if they just fly a straight line and land all their hits. Where is the "skill" when your aircraft now takes more hits to take down than a Lightning Tank?

    Brings me to my broken Rock-Paper-Scissors Balance of the air-game. Between the 2 extremes of having too much G2A and to little effective G2A, there's a part missing from the balance. G2A either deters fully, completely denying targets due to saturation (which harms the greater ground game), or deters nothing due to lack of presence and/or effectiveness due to bugs or the few,G2A, that do exist getting taken out quickly as they're not deterring anything (which also harms the greater ground game).

    What is:
    Libs are supposed to be excellent against ground, and are. But they're also too good against air.
    ESF are supposed to be excellent against air, but they're mostly being used for the ground.
    G2A either works too well due to saturation (which is bad), or doesn't work (also bad).

    What's expected:
    - Libs should be feared by G2A and either forces G2A to primary them, or forces an ESF presence, which should more easily intimidate them.
    - ESFs should be the bane of Libs and other ESFs, but are easily deterred or, if to greedy, easily destroyed by G2A. (ie, 1 ESF shouldn't stare down the barrels of a dual-burster, have a cup of tea, and take out the MAX.)
    - G2A should be forced to either scatter or work together to down Libs. They shouldn't have the issues they are having to low and slow flying ESFs which can unload their payloads and still manage to escape.

    Disclaimer: G2A refers to actual AA weapons not Tanks that get chances to fire at air targets.

    Well by that logic I declare that Zephyr Rounds shouldn't damage Tanks, Bulldogs shouldn't, and ESF rotaries shouldn't.

    After all they aren't in the role of AV anyway so it doesn't matter much?

    If a Lib pilot is stupid enough to fly low around tanks then he should be punished for it.

    Now he doesn't even need to worry and can fly as risky as he wants. This is just stupid.
