Okay Admittedly I was skeptical of this as I was thinking it wasn't legit. It was legit though and does work to get around the launcher issue. +1
I have tried to use that and it just sits at installing and does nothing. I have the game installed on steam - perhaps it can't detect my local files? The advanced options do nothing when i clock open directory and list nothing under the files.
