You cannot raid without clerics too, and clerics beat druids and shamans by miles on healing power and other utility stuff on tanks. The difference with tanks is that druids / shamans community don't cry to be able to do as good as clerics. Interchangeability is killing the specialist class. In this case, warrior for tank class.
The only time I seen knights have trouble raid tanking is when they lacked the reaction time to be a skilled player and that's been since underfoot. On 3 different servers. And the rest of the times it's because their heal team is not trying hard enough or they are expecting to be a "boss" before they even have 1 piece of gear from the current expansion. If you don't hit 20 things within the first 5 secs of the fight your not playing to your maximum potential. And some of the knights complaining I watched your spell casts for over a year . Quit complaining and play better. And quit trying to change the entire fundamental balance within Everquest. This is not World of Warcraft. When every warrior casts 3 x the amount of spells you do on every single raid you are not even trying.
Please don't downplay war abilities. You want to compare a knight using multiple abilities against a war using one ability. Knights received a nice boost from this patch, I won't argue that. But downplaying war abilities that can also stack undermines your credibility.
List all the abilities you can stack and then I will list ours include the extended discipline timers ,the increases to healing, epic effects, lifetap healing average over the course of the disciplines/aa, and for paladins the amount they can heal themselves on average for the entirety of the disciplines/aa. 2 of your abilities stack up to 52% one of which is passive for 2 minutes start there add in the healing amount with the increased healing effects plus include your self buffs to hp (which we have to ask for ) the debuffs that buff you .
Honestly as a warrior I'd just be happy for a bump in dps and for no time to bleed/pain doesn't hurt to be extendable again, I'd be good with that. I don't think it would be to much to ask for. From the devs or from knights.
I don't care of my DPS. I didn't choose to play warrior to DPS. Also, if we get the most dps of the 3 tank classes, in optimized rosters you will end in melee DPS groups with knights trusting the all the tank groups including of course the 1 or 2 MT groups. Pain don't hurt would need a big boost in the damage absorbed per hit, so that we can use it with Raid Bosses, double the actual 4-5 k dmg per hit absorbed to 8-10 k per hit
that staement right here is ridicuals. pain dosent hurt dosent need or shouldn´t be increased to even close to 8k per hit that is just plain stupid
This has 2 advantages : 1) Knights MT Raid Boss counterpart, there secondaries tools under def prof are better than us, we need an edge back when we aren't under def disc. 2) Would allow us to compete with knights in group content that don't take dmg anymore with def prof up + their self healing. The other possibility is to reduce the knight def prof to 15%, which all parties bar a few excited knights would have agreed, but if it intends to stay this way we need way beefer abilties to remain the best mitigation tank amongst the 3 tank classes.

you dont achiv balance by comming up with even more OP stuff 8k per hit for 600 swings or 3 minutes. just no man
He doesn't understand giving even higher defensives trickles down to knights needing better defensives, that require mobs to get more HP, AC and hit harder to try and have a chance to kill you as a Tank. Penalizing melee dps even more with wild rampage rounds that can wipe them out.
Eh, warrior burn DPS was stupidly low before the stance changes. With the stance changes, the Brutal+S&B+2H+Heroic Blade/Opportunistic Strike combo is nerfed which was the biggest source of our burn DPS. I don't know if it'd be realistic for us to beat a burning aDPSed cleric these days, so we may be the lowest DPS burn class in the game. We're slightly better in sustained DPS, but it has still lagged the past couple expansions. Just because it's not the primary focus our class doesn't mean that it should be broken, and warrior DPS is just broken atm. I thought one of the entire points of stances in the first place was to place penalties on us with DPS stances so they could justify giving us respectable DPS.
If we were speaking to a community that was reasonable with what they ask, we could, but they aren't reasonable and managed to fit their agenda, mitigating like warriors. And some ask for more role again...I consider mitigation is our class niche and we need a boost compared to knights. The only way to achieve it is to ask for more upgrade to our current abilities, as they won't ask to get their def proficiency % overpowered reduced.
so your point is that by you also makeing rediculas statements you think ur gaining any more merits then them when they say dumb left feild stuff. that only makes you look as dumb as some of them and ur not helping anybody
I'm not making ridiculous statements. I'm making reasonable upgrade to warriors so that we find our mitigation first spot back. I don't consider, unlike you, that knights should MT Raid Bosses like warriors.
Since we are being reasonable with upgrade requests I would like 1 mil damage slays with the minimum damage as 350K.
