Windows 7: I right clicked on the Everquest shortcut (points LaunchPad.exe) Compatibility tab. Cleared the checkbox that said run program in compatibility mode for (I forget, it was one of the XPs) Left Administrator checked "Apply" Now the patcher works.
Been playing since the beginning and gone through multiple systems that I've had to troubleshoot. Don't play as hardcore anymore but been trying to get in for 2 days now, tried all the suggestions here and even complete wipe and reload of this system and EQ. Still nadda.. wtf? Thanks Gamebreak
any crossover fixes? I deleted the entire game before I realized this was an issue on Wednesday and tried re-installing but it fails every time.
I can’t get that to work. When I try it says no exe files. I have deleted and reinstalled multiple times in two days. I have petitioned DBG and have not heard anything.

Bring back EQMac or fix what is broken.!!!
Yeah.... thats a B.S. response, a cop out to not admitting they made a change to the patcher and don't care to look into it. If I can run EQ (eqgame.exe) just fine in wineskin, and only the Launchpad.exe is broken (and it was working fine until this latest Launchpad.exe update) - clearly my system doesnt meet the requirements to play EQ, right? Come on DBG, you can do better than that.
i am on Windows 10. i was able to play earlier this week. I tried the retry button the launcher, its not in any compatibility mode, and I ran as Administrator. Yes, I am admin on my computer. This is a DGB problem. While the date the error files was created is today, June 30, 2017, the following is the message in the file .C:\DGB\Everquest\DownloadError.txt There are some 2014 messages in there. Right?! If we are able to run these games just perfectly earlier in the week, and all these people are having problem... I guess everybody doesn’t meet the requirements to play, guess for those that are PAYING for the game, DBG done not meet the requirement to keep getting paid by those CUSTOMERS!
I get either the message, "Error - A Timeout Has Occured", or "The Login Server is currently unavailable. Please try again later".
Every time I think they've hit rock bottom with their ability to screw up coding......they go the extra mile!
Can we at least get an acknowledgment that there is an error and that the devs are looking into a solution? Instead of make a ticket.

I have Seprate folders for each acct on the PC's i use My raid Char folder would not work, I ended up moving my raid char to a different Folder to get it to work to raid. what a pain. but I did get it to by pass that char issue. but this was Last night
