Ty. Are there still pages of items listed at 999999999?

Some occasionally but not pages and pages of them.

A tax paid with electrons? I don't have any problems with what they did. Given all the calls to "reset everyone's money" (the worst solution), I think they hit a pretty good balance of getting the bad money out of the game while allowing those who worked for their money and didn't utilize an exploit to retain what they did.

And what, pray tell, do you think the Broker Listing Fees are?

And even more to the point, when anyone spends literally HUNDREDS of Real World Dollars (or Euros, Pounds, etc.) on Boo$ter Bundle$ and/or Time Cap$ule$ because they're chasing that stupidly rare style they HAVE to have, they're paying a Tax on the Mathematically-Challenged in Real World Money, the same as if they were buying Lottery Tickets or dumping coins into a $lot Machine! :p

How about refunding our broker fees? I lost millions putting stuff up right before broker went down.

ok thank you for your response, I appreciate it.

The items should have been returned to you, same as if the item didn't sell, and in that case, you wouldn't be refunded the Listing Fees, either. So in this case, it's best to just count it as part of your Tax Bill and move on with your day.

Im having a tough time believing that you or anyone else in this game made upwards of 20B+ legitimately. If so, you are the luckiest person on the planet and I think you should apply your luck to your local lottery or a casino.

    **Edit**
Assuming that you had that much to begin with if you got hit with the 100% tax

Yeah it turns out Batman and Lex are both really cheap when it comes to the hired help. I guess it's true that the richer you are the more you expect to be given stuff for free. :D

I like the idea of more bounties and those bounties being for better rewards than our current open world bounties. If the Cult of Trigon wants me to keep hunting the Titans, they can start paying me better!

I doesn't believe in taxes so this sucks eggs let punish everyone for a few bad apples no I don't like this option. and Im a lifetimer this does look fair or even close to fairness.

Maybe with this influx of tax dollars, Wayne Tech and LexCorp will finally get to work unbottling all those buildings in Gotham and Metropolis?

Artificially putting controls on things seems a bit authoritarian, sorry, but counter point of view registering here.

The problem with double/punitive taxing is your are presupposing corrupt actions on behalf of all you would impact. If they can target malicious offenders, fine...but otherwise this is mass punishment of the innocent for approximating the uninvolved's opinion of what the guilty look like.

Best way to fix future glitches is to slow down game releases and improve the QC efforts.

Congratulations! I spent a great deal of money on the last capsules and what I didn't want or need put on the market at a lower price than what it was being sold for. Yes, I made some in game cash and that was my goal and has been since I started playing the game. I moved in game currency around to my alts because of a cash cap that was rumored. Now you can't email money back and forth to your own alts?

Seriously?? I will be damned if I spend any more real money on this game for capsules or anything that is being offered and considering to remove my entire account or sell it off. I am sure someone would be glad to be suckered into this. Damn league is dead anyway not to mention the game just took the worst turn and punished everyone. Deal with the loss with the fake currency... deal with the a$$jacks that exploited the problem and leave the rest of us alone that spent hard earned cash on the game to try to get the items we wanted and the funds we earned to begin with.
The "fake cash" as it is being put is not the problem of the people who were legit in gaining their currency. I think this is one of the worst decisions on how you were going to deal with this issue.
Where there is a plan and action is taken, there is also repercussions that go with it and unfortunately it was taken out on the ones who don't mind spending money but now have been taken advantage of.
I get it people will be ticked off for the simple fact they can't by the expensive items. But guess what? Neither could I for as long as I have played this game. I had to earn each and every bit of it. You can bet, I won't undersell anyone anymore.
The prices have gone up from here on out. But I will guarantee no extra real money will be involved. Daybreak will be lucky if I continue to pay the 14.99 a month.

If you scroll back or look through other threads you'll find that Mepps said that they will be turning that ability back on again. What it looks like they're doing is taking things in stages. The first stage happened on Dec 18 with the extended maintenance where they implemented the one-time tax on each account. They let that sit for a day and then did another maintenance where they loaded in the stuff for the upcoming month's seasonal. With that, they reenabled the broker and made all of the account bound drops from the new episode tradeable again. In another day or three (maybe a week?) they'll reenable the trading of money.

Why are they doing it slowly? Well, quite frankly those who were guilty of actually executing the glitch are probably sitting there looking for even more ways to earn lots of money and try to do what they can all over again. It's like moths to a flame. So the folks at DBG are slowly giving them enough rope to hang themselves... and they are closely monitoring everything that is going on with the economy on the US PS/PC server.

Now, if everyone remains a little patient, they'll find that prices of things in the broker will start coming down. The side effect of having listed the item at such a high price? If it doesn't sell, they lost that broker listing fee. So the game here is to figure out what's the right price for listing it in the broker.

That doesn't stop taxes from believing in you.

This is both True and Not. Putting these caps on the game, if they were going to do it, would have 2 effects. 1st it would prevent the Broker from ever being used by Gold Sellers to trade cash. As the caps would be too low for both players and the Sellers to get around. Second it would stabilize the economy very quickly. And it would prevent people from hoarding items they intend to sell for long periods just so they can gouge the price later if their is a max price they can set them for. Authoritarian maybe, but in the end stabilizing and good for the game in the long run.
