For close/mid range get the SVA-88, for mid-long range get the Ursa (it's a true beast!) - forget the Flare, after having auraxed it I believe it to be overrated. I also aurax'ed the Ursa and the Pulsar LSW, and am about to aurax the SVA-88. And for very high distance (if you want to give it a try) get the Eidolon. I snipe a lot of Infils as a Heavy, although their cloaking is extremely nasty and imba. It takes a while to get used to the bullet velocity, but I find it awesome
SVA88 is still a great ADS weapon; in my mind its a tossup between the Orion and the SVA88. Sometimes the extra rounds in the SVA88 is nice. And although the lasher isn't a lmg, its a great long range suppression weapon.
Used to play with SVA88, 5000kills with it and since the patch it feels very weird, like random recoil and such things... sticking with Orion right now (only 400kills and going up), Orion feels like there is no random ****, just the recoil pattern and getting used to headshot everyone right now. I really miss the old times with my SVA :_(
Mazdam - SVA has random recoil now. Its a fact. I got auraxium on it pre patch and now it feels like "broken". Before patch I started using Polaris. Its great weapon for me - trigger happy, charging brainless HA ;-)
NS-15M. It's like if Orion and Ursa had a child. It's deadly accurate, easy to control, and gets 0.75% ads speed, soft point ammo and the fastest reload of any LMG. Great at mid-range but beware not to get too close.
SVA-88 is good, but its way way way overrated. Orion, pulsar LSW, flare, sva-88 and ursa are all great guns, take your pick.
lol, the Polaris is really bad As for the Pulsar, it's not bad, but I didn't feel comfortable with it for some reason when I tried it
I only use the Lasher. Screw stats, that gun has the best Vanu flavor/nostalgia and isn't half-bad in 1 on 1 battles when you get used to it. Just takes a little playstyle adaptation, but grenade bandolier + lasher + concussive grenades = very fun indoor fighting.
OP, In order to give you an answer with any value at all you'd need to answer the following: At what range/situation would you like to use your new LMG? Long or short range? 1v1 or multiple opponents? Looking for a specialist to fulfill a specific role, or looking for a more versatile/generalist weapon? etc.. Is there something about the Orion you don't like and/or that doesn't suit your needs? If so, what is it? (optional) Is there any other weapon that you currently use that has some of the traits you're looking for so we can compare (I'd really like an LMG that behaves like XX)? Without more details I'll bet you'll have at least one person recommend every single VS LMG out there.
im kinda struggling with this as well. Im getting bored of the SVA and i want a new gun but i cant decide if the NS15 or the Ursa will fill that role.....it will be mostly for mid-longish range. Tower fights i switch to shoty or SMG
