I am getting a similar issue. I have tried reconnecting my internet, I have disabled proxy and my firewall has exeptions. It was working fine before, what can I do? This also worked for me. I think my settings got changed while installing a version of Teamspeak. I was playing PS2, Installed Team speak for maybe the wrong site. The restarted PS2 and it stoppped working.
I installed and set an account up for Planetside 2 no problem but when i tried to play it, this came up Unable to download SocketError:Host Not Found (11001) - http://manifest.patch.station.sony....live/planetside2-live.sha.soeSocketError:Host Not Found (11001) - http://manifest.patch.station.sony....live/planetside2-live.sha.soeSocketError:Host Not Found (11001) - http://manifest.patch.station.sony....live/planetside2-live.sha.soeSocketError:Host Not Found (11001) - http://manifest.patch.station.sony....live/planetside2-live.sha.soeSocketError:Host Not Found (11001) - http://manifest.patch.station.sony....live/planetside2-live.sha.soeSocketError:Host Not Found (11001) - http://manifest.patch.station.sony....lanetside2-live/live/planetside2-live.sha.soe I have no idea what this means. is there a way to fix it?
still have the problem the fixes dont work.. how the hell do you mess up a launcher that wasnt even touched for two days without me downloading stuff.
I think I found a solution: 1. Go to Control Panel 2. Go to Internet Settings 3. Go to LAN Setttings 4. Uncheck the box that says something about using Proxy server 5. Open up the launcher to see if this soulution works. *The only downside to this is that in most cases you have to do it every time you want to play the game.
**** it **** IT im not abel to do that schit because im to stupid, it looks like i never can play this game, i mean WTF download a game and before you can play it you haf to fix a lot of schit that you don´t understand and in the end i ****t up more then it was before.
Sort of an old thread, but seemed somewhat unresolved. I had this exact problem. A DNS flush fixed it.
If a DNS does not fix your issue, please submit in a support ticket. We'll be more than happy to follow up on this.
Here's a link to how to flush your DNS for all systems http://docs.cpanel.net/twiki/bin/view/AllDocumentation/ClearingBrowserCache
FYI ~ Time Warner in the N.E. US region had not picked up the changes by the time of this post. Setting the local adapter to use Google's DNS (8.8.8.8 and 4.4.4.4) worked immediately to connect to PS2 and also Landmark.
I have missing files every time I launch the game but I cant find out how to get them so it says error 11001
I kept getting that error too, but I think after listening to his advice, I got it, no error currently
