The Striker is ruining air game

    If you want get easy cert you should be ready to risk. If you don't want to risk you'll not get cert in any occasion in this game.

    All of you have good and valed points but heres my opinion, strikers arent OP because it does next to no damage (why i dont like it and staying away from it). But the point of the striker is to use it in a corordanating platoon to focus fire on the same vachles. BUT ONE striker alone is not gonna take out an ESF. Also it can leave us vulnerable to infatry as it CAN NOT be dumb fired. The striker also takes time to lock on giving you to flare and get out but MOST, flare and ignore because thare busy worrying about rocket poding. Fourthermore, as stated before it takes groups of strikers to be really efective but at least 4-5 people to be usefull now lets think about it... its 1000 certs for a striker but it takes 4-5 to be useful thats 5000 certs comparied to a sky-guard wich is useful right out of the box. But in my opinion thats how AA works, the more thare are the more effective it will be.

    I dont think its OP/Unbalaned with the other ESRLs I think its because how common it is and because they dont have it for there faction so they never used it.

Then you don't play vs and nc enough because you would realize a volley from ONE TR HEAVY AND YOU DIE not to meantion THAT THERE AE HUNDREDS IF HEAVIES EVERYWHERE WITH STRIKERS so a I'm sure you don't realize how much it sucks to fly for the rest of us you just take 10-20% dmg from your esf if you're hit.

    Lol you don't have to focus there is no coordination using this weapon! You just look up and point it's not like there are hundreds of aircraft to choose from maybe a max of 5 or 6..... You have to be kidding me with this bs....


    WTF.... I didn't know infantry used launchers to defend themselves from infantry.... Rofl..... Omg

    You still get hit even if you flare.... And there are hundreds of TR heavies every where with strikers so t doesn't matter if you have flares you are locked on ALL THE TIME IN COMBAT ZONES

    I'm not even going to continue talking because your arguments aren't even worth my time there so dang biased....

    i used to run air squads and we would have huge dog fights with TR as we played NC. it was an absolute blast to have 10-20 aircraft in the same area duking it out. We usually ran 2 libs and reavers as escorts and we would escort our main platoon on their attacks and TR would try to counter us with mossies. It was so much fun, those days were probably the most fun I had playing ps2. But now I can't even get an airsquad going anymore cuz no one wants to fly against strikers... So. I'm a little frustrated that all the fun we used to have was removed just because of one stupid launcher. Thx sone

    its hard enough to get an air squad organized, trying to get everyone in a lib and make sure we have 2 or 3 and then try to make sure everyone is in a reaver and that they stick with the libs, but now you have strikers and as soon as you get to an engagment you are being spammed from the ground by strikers so everyone is blowing flares and then we are fighting TR air at the same time, so people panic and it really just all falls apart, because there is no way to support an assault and dodge rockets from below and try to dog fight at the same time... so those golden days are over since everyone that used to fly won't do it anymore because its literally impossible to stay up for more than a couple minutes.

    Sorry for being so biased as i siad i was stateing MY OPINIONS. if there was an over abundace of AA flak you would be crying OP just because people use it alot, doesnt mean its OP! OP! OP! OMFG THIS GAME SUCKS RAGE QUIT! whats with every one crying OP on everything? The last OP thing that people were crying about that acually was OP was the phinox. AND yes LAs DO do dumb fire RLs because it takes an hour and a half to get your LMG,SMG,SHOTGUN, OR ANY OTHER primary even our secondary is useless at times.

    OK. I read like 3 pages of this whine post. but I just key in now.
    1, each empire has a strong ESL,
    the NC can snipe out any armor/spawn bus in side their 300M bubble. Yes they can be shot down.
    the VS can Snipe armor targets from Far range, rapid fire the unit for AA or indoors at maxs.
    the TR can Deny air/ground in a 500M area
    each side has a system that favor a type of use. and I used all 3 my self to great effect.
    so how about before calling the nerf bat out. you check and see how the other 2 choices are used and effect the enemy side.

    I know when playing TR to keep my Sundy bus behind something really large or outside 300M.
    when going on VS I know to avoid open area as NO warning sniper shots hurts.
    so when fighting TR you should know that they use Lock on, and should come up behind their line, stay over head or ect.

    please stop trying to Nerf the game play down to COD levels. not everyone wants comp for the people who can't adapt

    Heres my thoughts of this kind of stupid subject is, this i play on Miller as TR and let me say the striker as it is right now is were it should be, if you ever played ps 1 you would understand why this is, only thing i get out of this post is that the VS once again cant take the TR having something good, you guys have Awesome MG's, and we deal with that , the NC have awesome Maxes, i can deal with that, we have the striker and i can deal with that, i mean the striker cant even lock on to max's and turrets like they could in PS 1 and here you go starting a complaint, do us all a favor don't post things like this till you truly under stand what is is you complaing about
    cause me and a fair number of others have our complaints but a we keep em to our selfs and see how things pan out or, its on how if anything the striker is a little under powered from how it was but this in just me.

    I'll agree with the hiding from them, its fairly ridiculous when i afterburn away, hide behind a mountain and 2 rockets hit me.
    Not sure in relation to the damage, i think the damage is okay, although it really, really hurts when all five rockets hit you.
    I also wouldn't say the phoenix is unpopular, i get hammered by it all the time, the lancer is though, cause by itself it is goddamn terrible, completely useless against infantry(although it shares that with the striker) and it's damage is horrible unless you charge up, which takes sooo long.

    The Vanu have nothing the TR and NC don't have a better version of.
    I do agree you should be able to lock onto maxes though, but i also think the lancer should have a greater zoomed scope.

    Only problem with the striker is its giving TR a complete all around AV weapon, and as such a lot of TR arent buying Anti Air rocket launchers because they don't have too. this has lead to a rediculous amount of TR heavies running around with this thing that can counter either air or ground with ease, and it is a STRONG AA weapon, im pretty sure 2 mags take down a reaver, so you can gib one within your lock on time of it comingwithin 500m of you if you have just one other TR heavy buddy. I think it is just a bit op to let only one faction have such a versatile launcher effective vs air or ground, VS or NC couldnt dream of a launcher with such great effectiveness vs either. because so many tr player have them and they can be versatile, its ruining a lot of the air balanace. This weapon is also the only one in the game that by itself forces pilots to choose flares. such strong lock on anti air denialThat should never have been faction specific, there are more lock ons on my reaver froma striker, than the specific anti air launcher, and with a chance to have your missiles go through flares, why wouldnt you choose the striker? that is counter intuitive to air balanace, and it must be fixed. Something must be done about striker vs air. ground is fine.

    The difference between PS1 and PS2 is that in PS2 air is MUCH MORE POWERFUL than in PS1 and essential for winning a fight. Air is the strongest category in PS2, thats why it has to be played top-down. Whoever has air superiority in a fight, wins it. In PS1 you werent totally screwed if a Reaver appeared on the field, in PS2 you are. And by denying the other factions any possibility to pull air, in PS2 the TR have a tactically HUGE advantage over the other 2 factions.

    Also, this effectiveness is the reason why literally EVERY TR has a Striker, but only many NC have a Phoenix and only a few VS have a Lancer.

    Thats why I say: Either take G2A lock-on off the Striker and add dumbfire, or give the VS and NC MAXes lock-on AA weapons. In either case, all factions will finally experience the same amount of lock-on. As of now, every faction fighting TR has way more lock-on than TR themselves ever get to suffer. And this is the utter sense and meaning of the word "imbalance".

    Seriously, ESF pilots cringe before everything. I hit them with the PDW, who's fleeing? That's right! THEY are fleeing, worried sick in their paranoia of losing their pwetty ESF. What would you like to have next, good sir? Autopilot so you can fire your rocketpods at us infantry units with even more ease? nuclear bombs for your eternal killstreak?

    Grow some backbone and take the heat. If you can't take the heat, stay the hell out of the kitchen! If you want to f***ing own everything with your air unit, I suppose you go to COD. I've heard your VTOL gets the enemies marked automatically there.
