SOE are you noticing that the VAST majority don't want dome shields?

    AFAIK they'll be tied to Amp facility benefits.

    Take enemy Amp station, take down all their dome shields.

    I haven't seen anything from the devs stating it has been tied to AMP facilitys. Any chance for a link?

    Also, I personally am a fan of the shields. My one complaint is that I do believe there needs to be a generator that the enemy can try and take to turn it off for that outpost/facility. With that said the generator needs to be in a heavily defensible spot that favors the defenders more than the attackers.

    Just taking the amp facility is so lame. so you cap a base and thats it? Theres got to be more depth like you have to bring an item from the amp station to the base you want bio domes on, but that would require the devs put some actually effort into making stuff, or at least the PR department needs to back the hell off so they can release some content with depth rather then just in what ever time frame they need to make some kind of money, but they wont make money so its just a waste of resources now.

    Heres the number one problem. They've put so man resources into the idea, that even if it's bad they will release some way because they don't want to waste money. Otherwise they should just let the idea die until they can put anything in without it just being a "Cap" Everything in this game is solved by "go here and stay still" It's no fun. It's just a boring gameplay mechanic that people right can't do anything special with because you either have the amp station or you dont. It's not dynamic at all. It's just a stale, shallow gameplay mechanic so far that really limits a lot of play style. They should of have this sorted out before release the game.

    It's not lazy, it's just the devs can't do anything with a free to play, competitive marketing scheme. It's so *** backwards!

    The shields will create semi-biofarms. If Air was really a problem and caused spawn camping, they should have just created dome shields around the spawn rooms.
    Ground units and vehicles can cross into it to kill air AA units that are outside of their spawn room but within the shields but air units can't sit outside camping it anymore unless they have ground support.

    Luperza said that it was their current idea to link them to Amps during the MLG weekend... day 1 in the first couple hours somewhere.

    Not that it's guaranteed... but they were definitely looking at making it work that way as it would make Amps more significant and also provide a way to take down enemy dome shields for bombadment

    Then how do so many other MMO games stay afloat on the F2P model? Because by your logic, no game ever should unless there is a 10$ per month subscription fee.......

    MTs, micro-transactions.
    do you honestly think a company would keep a game going if they weren't making a profit?
    most MMOs are doing away with subscription fees and turning to MTs with things like boosters, upgrades and cosmetics.

    Well it seems that walls on every base wasnt enough, they need to be like completely insulated from tanks/air. Basically tanks/air serve no purpose other than to kill other tank/air which serves no purpose in capping bases. So if tanks/air serve as no threat to bases, why get them in the first place? Seriously logic?
