We could really do with something like that, the developers take inspiration from the Battlefield series so they might as well implement this commo rose system.

W.A.S.P. Inc forged a new subsection for Planetside 2:

    MEET VENOM!

VENOM is a group of dedicated players striving to create a more cohesive unit based on teamwork and co-operation. We will be meeting up at regular intervals to practice as a team, VENOM members are expected to share their experience and knowledge with the members of HIVE during general gameplay.

VENOM will implement tactics and strategies, to further improve the efficiency of the unit as a whole. We will be providing training for the rest of the members of WASP, None of which is mandatory unless membership of VENOM is requested. While HIVE is also supposed to work in a tactical way, VENOM is the place for you who want more structured tactical gameplay. As an example we will have predetermined ways of breaching buildings, group movement and roles/classes.

Visit us at http://www.wasp-inc.org and YouTube and make your application now.

    Are you tactical? Join HIVE.
Are you extremely tactical? Join VENOM.

Looking for a democratic and tightly working outfit with 25+ members on every night, steadily growing? Join WASP!

I am totally about to innocently discuss UI intricacies in a recruitment thread.

So... hey, how about those Camaros, eh?
  5. Jesper

Are you NC? Have you seen us online? Don't be afraid to ask to join! All we need from you is to get on teamspeak to be able to take part of that awesome teamwork we got going.

And for the Republic - guys stay out of deep canyons tomorrow. We will be doing ambush training :D
  6. PeaSum

It isn't actually an ambush if you inform them of it, is it?

Also it might just be a good idea to start using some combined arms combat instead of having a gigantic blobb of tanks. We tend to shred them. The whole "im in a tank, CHARGEEEE" thing is a bit boring.

So you might want to bring your tanks to the location we are at. But also bring some infantry. And maybe a Lib. At least TRY to make it a bit harder :p
  7. Fab

Yesterday our TopGun team managed to hold the north for 2 hours using only Reavers and libs, despite AA being very powerfull, we managed to dominate the area between crimson and Mao for all the evening. Our squad was formed of 2-3 libs + 3-4 reavers.

We took down several Skyguards by attacking them all together (lib + reavers) and that was really a delight to see them burning.
God I hate AA so much.

Tomorrow is the first meeting for our newly formed tactical division called VENOM.

Tomorrow is also the day for a training/gaming session where we focus fire tank columns from advantageous altitude.

    Sign up and come join!
  9. Fab

Great times again yesterday night, 30 mins trainning for all the volunteers (Air and infantry), and then combined arms session around East Canyon checkpoint. One armor / Air group protects the infantry and their sunderer. It worked perfectly.
Recruitment is still open. See you on the battlefield.
  10. Zeewulf

What's the difference in Hive, Venom etc. ?
  11. Fab

HIVE is organised, but still pretty relaxed.
VENOM is a group of dedicated players striving to create a more cohesive unit based on teamwork and co-operation. We will be meeting up at regular intervals to practice as a team, VENOM members are expected to share their experience and knowledge with the members of HIVE during general gameplay.

While HIVE is also supposed to work in a tactical way, VENOM is the place for people who want more structured tactical gameplay.
  12. PeaSum

While HIVE is the first tear of commitment to the game and will play in a tactical manner, VENOM is the place for the even more committed players within WASP. VENOM generally hosts the players that develop and practice new tactics, push the level of the clan even further and try to gather as much experience as possible.

Joining VENOM comes with higher expectations and more personal responsibilities for every player. If you look for an even more tactical and competitive play style with highly trained and committed other players you should have a look on VENOM.
  13. Jesper

Did you play on Eurydome today? Close to Crossroads watchtower? Played as Vanu or Terran? In a tank?

You probably felt the heat of 20 rockets coming your way from a friendly cliff high above you.
  14. Old Lady

The two above me explained it well. Just keep in mind VENOM still plays together with HIVE where the general population is. So there is no split between those groups. Just that VENOM has more "mandatory" tactical session which VENOM members should attend to.
  15. Zeewulf

Nah, I was on Esamir. Either in a Vanguard or the guy trying to keep 3 AA maxes alive and ammo'd up while dodgeing sniper bullets aimed at me .. lol 3 large maxes to shoot at and they all go for me... go figure lmao
  16. Jesper

Saw you were looking for an outfit Zeewulf - make sure to check us out!
  17. Khalum

I'd also like to let all you flashlight enthusiasts out there know that you're very welcome in WASP. Being an advocate of excessive use of light sources myself, I'm currently investing a lot of time, effort and money in creating more acceptance for this outstandingly underrated yet incredibly versatile rail attachment. Using flashlights to transmit morse code is just one example which will revolutionize the way we operate!

And remember: "YOU SHALL PRESS L"
  18. Jesper

    In other news:

Khalum was removed from outfit due to him accidentally morse coding the combined strength of VS and TR and informing them of our current location and plan.
  19. Old Lady

Ohh so that's how they found us >.<
