Nope that trace looks good and you are not even going over Level3.

Although you do have a double NAT it looks like, that wouldn't cause any issues with Planetside but if you ever need to port forward it may be an issue. Google "Double NAT" for more info.

How to copy and past from the command window.

Yeah, I had to double up because the ISP's modem/wifi/router all-in-one's wifi broke. Plugged it into the router I have and it worked. Does Sony have anything on other ISP issues? I highly doubt that high of a ping is normal.

hi. i have had this issue for quite a while now. my internetprovider has figured out that the connection from Copenhagen to Frankfurt must be verry bussy or damaged. i can do nothing about it nor can my internetprovider. i have been speaking to youre technical department for quite a while, since my game has been working verry poorly for months. i have finaly found the problem, but now i can do nothing about it. i have tried contacting level 3 several times, but they do not reply, so would PLEASE help me get this fixed in some way? otherwise i cant see my self play this game anymore, cause its pritty much unplayable. my internet provider tested the ping from four different providers and all of them has the same timeout at hop 7.

Umm, 2 things.

You are not tracing to a game server, you are tracing to the Launchpad Server that has nothing to do with in game latency. What server do you play on?

And that is a Normal Latency coming from Europe to Las Vegas Nv, US

Same for you as above, you are tracing to the Launchpad Server, it has nothing to do with the game servers or in game latency.

150ms from europe to Las Vegas NV US is pretty good though.

You guys need to trace to the IP of the server you play/experience issues on.

Tracing to lp.soe.com (64.37.171.24) is useless.

That just shows 1st Level techs at SOE are as good as 1st level techs at an ISP, not very (generally).

The game only maintains connections to 2 locations while you're playing, 1 is the game server and one is the VoIP/Voice chat server.

You can test this yourself easily using Resource Monitor in Windows 7+ (possibly Vista as well), single out the planetside process and watch the network activity section, example below taken from system.

69.174.216.21 is the IP/Name of the Emreld server (note on most servers this is a domain name). Since everything is UDP received traffic for the game and VoIP is lumped into one "connection" with my computers address. The two *.vivox.com connections are the VoIP/Voice Chat servers.
As you can see there is no connection to lp.soe.com all game traffic is direct to 69.174.216.21

I cann't play correcly since i use level3. soe stop work with level3 or buff them.

Or it is possible to use vpn or proxy for bypass level 3?

DLL2 What more do you want, you are showing a 27ms and 24ms Latency to the server. There is nothing wrong with the path between you and the server.

What problems are you having?

My ping is not stable since i route use level3.net i get less ping but not stable. I prefer have +2ms and be stable.
