game freezes on redeploy

    Correct!! I forgot to mention although you launch PS2 through steam it still uses the PS2.exe. You're using steam like the middle man or middle program in this case.

    I'm currently having the same problem. It freezes at 15%, crashes and send me an error report G99

    Could you try it without the admin rights on the Launchpad? It will still freeze but it will do it less often. As mentioned before I never said that this completely stops the game from freezing.

    Also mentioned before, it seems that this workaround works for most but not for everybody.

    The reason for that is because the servers are still down.
