What is WRONG with the werewolf mercs?????

We bought the expac for the new and supposedly improved mercs but they have the exact same stats as the regular mercs. Also, since they're more *leet* you can't customize them at all. Not really thrilled with that either. That's how you keep mercs apart from others during groups and so on. If you're going to release a special merc then it would be nice if it was actually special, not worse. Please fix them or give us different ones. Thank you =)

the paly merc is crap , at 92 he had 40,003 hp, compared to the normal sk that had over 50k.
he cant hold agro from my inquisitor, and his dps is shotty. sometime he does decent dps then other times its like he's just autoattacking and not casting his ca's or spells.
imo since we paid 20.00 extra for these mercs , they should be better then standard mercs in everyway. im not talking anywere near as powerfull as a elite, but they should be better then the standard ones for sure.

i havent tested the templar yet, but if the paly is so bad i cant imagine the templar being to much better. ill prob going to end up ditching the temp ww and go back to good old stamper.

They are making changes to him in the patch this morning, hopefully he'll be a lot better, though this says 'slight increase'.

Besides being terrible compared to the old mercs performance wise, they look awful. Who designed these models? These guys waists are actually smaller then my petamorph vampire mage, which is a small female. They look like bad anime cartoons. Why they didn't use a variation of the cool evil looking loping plains werewolf model is beyond me. They seriously need petamorph wands for mercs. People have wanted that to change the race of their mercs anyway.

And their armor is completely drab looking. How can the old shadow knights armor be so detailed and they release these new special order mercs looking like this?

hmmmm I was thinking my new healer merc was far outperforming the old one. I died a couple of times soloing with him and had to wait 5 minutes to get a rez from him because he proceeded to basically solo everything in sight first hah.

The new healer Werewolf Merc is not as good as the regular healer mercs. Hopefully the patch will add some to the new 20 dollar mercs.

There is another problem with the Werewolf Merc, Not sure if anyone else noticed. it or reported it yet, but for some really ******** reason quest npcs, for example the scout quest npc you have to escort to the medic in the New jungle zone like to attack the merc. I noticed a couple of other npcs during the new COE quest line all so liked to attack the merc. Please fix this.

OK, so, the patch this morning was supposed to fix the paladin werewolf merc's HP situation, except that I think he actually has slightly fewer HP now (40,018 HP with mastered inq buffs at 92). On top of that, the stat bonuses he had over the standard mercs (higher crit chance/bonus, etc.), his only saving grace, were reduced to be that of a standard merc's. After it was made clear that the werewolf mercs would be quite a bit better than standard mercs and for them to be so deeply unsatisfying... to say I am displeased with this merc is an understatement. I feel like I was swindled.

Yeah I'm not happy with the new mercs myself. If I had to pay full price for collectors I will have flipped right out. I had a friend thinking of getting it and when he saw them he was pretty much f that.

If they did a few small tweaks and decreased their costs even if not remove it then maybe they would not be to bad. But their ugly as hell and everyone has one you can't dress them up they don't seem to be a better merc and if not worse then other mercs. Why the hell would someone want it?

The healer werewolf merc is absolutely useless. My assassin drops constantly before he even tries to heal, and it takes him ages to revive me when I do drop. I've tried him a couple of times in a couple of zones but, he's been worthless. I keep going back to the temp merc, where I nearly never drop. Total waste of $20 if you ask me

LOL I like the way they look. The LP werewolf has like three animations only. It spends most of the fight with his arms spread and a goofy look on it's face. I've had no problems wit the healer, but a fury friend of mine is fed up with the pally. She say's he useless.

Yeah, the templar werewolf merc is completely useless. Took him into a couple of dungeons that I normally farm for gear for my alts, and he just flat out doesn't like to heal. He prefers to melee. /merc ranged was a completely foreign language to him, apparently. Died a couple of times, and said "enough of this!" I went back to the capitol city and got my Inquisitor merc back, that never lets me die (unless I do something stupid). What a WASTE!!!
Also, as another person said, there's a problem with the CE merc that NPCs love to beat on him. I was in the Solo SS dungeon (the one where you get the tradeskill apprentice), and the NPCs from that quest kept attacking him. I couldn't kill the NPCs because they werent attackable, so I just let them kill the werewolf...
I swear, it's always something with this game, isn't it? o_O

I'm definitely not happy, I've been using the human paladin for my ranger, one of his benefits being that he will rez me. The werewolf paladin has one less spell than the human one, guess which spell is missing? The rez. I will be keeping the human, thank you

The ole bait and switch! The werewolf merc had significantly improved stats on release as advertised. The very next day they patched him to have the same relative stats as my Shadowknight merc except he has significantly lower HP. Not to mention he's worthless. Basically he just swung his weapon. After 5 minutes of waiting for him to kill the mobs i stopped healing him and killed the mobs myself. Wasted $20.

I'll not get another collectors edition again!

Okay, guess I'm the only one who likes my werewolf pally. He saves my squishy **** just fine. No jealousy between him and my petamorphed sarnak. They work in tandem tanking and healing while my wimpy conjie dpses and waits to finish researching all her masters.

Is there any pictures or screenshots on this? I mean yes SOE has terms to cover it but if abused like buy 1 day and the next they change it then that is down right scam lol. Not that I like actually saying that its just I hate to be treated like dirt after putting lots of money into something I care. I hope they would not spit in our faces.

I'm probably not a good person to judge, since I've never used mercs before (I bought AoD a while ago, but stopped playing soon after, bought this expac since they sounded good and I got an all access discount). I've been using the pally (my 'main' is a 65 guardian) for running writs - guild's almost 30 now. I harvest, he kills things, we're both happy.

Anyway, here's my question - the descriptions for mercs all say they take 'a share of the loot'. I see the lotto boxes come up whenever I loot a collectible or a chest something from a mob, but if that's true, he's the unluckiest SOB in Norrath cause he hasn't won a lotto yet: I started checking after I suspended him to loot an exquisite chest.

Anyway, for the price he charges, and what I get just from a bit of harvesting on the side while the writ crap gets killed, I figure I can keep him out roughly ... forever. And I can always try to guess how the next mob I walk by will die: will he burst into flames, or be struck from lightning from the sky, or just hacked to pieces (these are all yellow one arrow mobs).

I've only used the paladin werewolf and he doesn't seem noticeably or significantly better, even after the patch. He did attempt to rez me though, I was just too quick to hit the respawn button because I didn't think he would. Hopefully they will improve them some more, in the meantime I'll keep looking for the eliete mercenaries.

Definitely a little disappointed at this point.

They take a share of the coin. They don't have a chance on items.
