Well, I don't got wood, but you have to admit that there is a certain appeal to straddling a large slab of it. And then going for a ride. Innuendo.
Man, making me go all arborist on my own log. The shape of the leaf narrows it down to walnut, beech, or hazel. Since I drew the bark as more flat than the immediate rough texture of the walnut, I'm gonna lean more towards beech. I've loved beech trees anyway since I was young, used to climb a huge old one in my backyard and sit up there and play. So, if we're going with a handsome grey beech log mount, which is a fine specimen as far as logs go, it would be a hardwood. Plus, black walnuts stain your hands. Stupid black walnuts. Sure, everything looks great when you're peeling that fruit off, and you don't suspect a thing, maybe a touch of brown staining, but the next day? BLAMMO! Solid jet black hands and you've got to go to work and explain why it ain't gonna just wash off. Then you have to dry and break into those nuts, which did I mention not only stain but are one of the hardest nuts? Like srsly. F* walnuts. My hands were black for like a month.
Yeah, black walnut a bad choice especially after a rough day of raiding or questing and you are all sweaty. Takes MONTHS for those stains to come out. Oak too gnarly. Pines and firs to pitchy, unless maybe a yew that could magically transform into a super Mongol Bow of Dooom to Boss Mobs upon landing. Wait, it doesn't fly?
great! now for some-thing a little different? If we like it maybe get some wings on it? (oh no. I've gone and earwormed myself)
That looks like it'd be a total birch to sit on, but I guess you'd be oakey if yew placed your palms correctly, and then it woodn't hurt.
IDK, we are all powerful adventurers who have killed Dragons. Why does that flying log need a safety harness?
