So let me get this straight it is the intention of the dev staff to keep POW relevant and as such you have increased their level range yet refuse to increase the level of the gear to reflect this change? In all honesty this statement and move seems more out of lazyness than anything else since the staff only deems CoE would have 3 new raid zones with the level increase...gear with carboncopy procs that dont stack with their Dov/Skyshrine original procs...no merchant faction or otherwise to buy the new adorn...etc. Pretty poor respone imo.
Yeah, this kind of response seems out of line. You increased the difficulty of the zone simply to not give commensurate reward. Seems logical. What is going on at SOE such that these types of decisions are being pumped out? Can we get a station cash token to buy level 92 PoWar gear?
Frankly this is just a pure insult to players. You want PoW to be relevant still, but you don't make it work with relevant adorns? What's the next GU, raise the level of Underfoot Depths to make it relevant/end game but not upgrade any of the loot?
I'm not sure who is involved with the decision making process on that response, but I sincerely hope they either get canned or are not a part of the EQNext development team. You and Gninja are the two most stubborn developers for ANY product I have ever seen, for being in the position of getting face-to-face feedback on your work. This is your job, and for the most part you just appear as though you can't take any constructive criticism. If you want X to be relevant in Y content, then Y content needs to be relevant in X. If you want to have any degree of success/approval from your work, you need to be willing to accept critique from people that know a lot more about it than yourself.
have to agree with slip on this one. at the very least mythical cloaks/weapons should be lvl 92. ps. if they are then i feel like a noob and dumb for not checking first before posting this lol
Then there should NOT have been any changes to the level of PoW mobs. You're telling us that some of the best loot in the game, is not meant to be able to use the best adornments (max level)? Kill higher level (or harder) mobs to get lower level loot. (POW) Kill lower level (or very easy) mobs to get higher level loot. (AoC/SS) The stats on harder/lower_level loot read as being higher than the stats on easier/higher_level loot, but some stats on lower level loot (like resists and AC) degrade against higher level content. This is not clean game design. It is a mess.
We're going to lower the usable level of the new adornments to 90 so they can be used on PoW Gear. Should be this week.
Awesome thank you for listening. I think this will settle the issue in PoW , aside from Teku's Cloak being debatable for use now that Visonary Scaled Cloak of the Archmagus is better than it stat wise when refined.
How about new red proc adorns (upgraded runes of war)? Can you also lower their lvl to 90 so they can be put in DoV red slot's items?
Awesome news! Thank you sir! But, one last question, what of current yellow and red adornments? That truly would make PoW gear the best in slot again if we could equip the best adorns in every slot.
PoW rings and even SS for that matter need green slots. Adding them to all the neck items and ignoring the rings sucks. Especially since some of the PoW rings are best in slot items. Add Green Slots to Rings!!
