Player Guild and Faction Rewards Revealed!

Hello Everyone!

Recently we have seen a lot of posts on the board concerning faction and guild status rewards.
We wanted to make sure that everyone knew exactly what they would get for pursuing guild rewards in-game so
to make things easier we decided to publish the guild rewards to guild level 30.

We will also be including the rewards for the individual factions that can be found within each city as well as a brief description
off the type of item.

Well I have a couple questions I guess.


- Is there a way in game to tell what our faction is at with a certain faction?

- I have well over 100,000 Status points and have run dozens upon dozens of writs for the various factions. All of the Faction Vendors seem to only have torches for me. Another person in my guild has also well over 100,000 status. Just how much do we need to get to the lowest Amiable level?

- The various rewards for the factions sound a bit confusing. Ironforge sounds geared towards crafters. Qeynos guard towards warriors. I thought Tunare Alliance was the Scout type related faction but Woven armor? That sounds more caster related. And for the Celestial Watch which is I thought the Priest related one sounds like armor more geared towards a scout?

- The list seems to be missing the halmark raids?

Are you a patron in your guild? Non patrons will not see items that require status points , only the reduced cost items like the torches.

You can not spend status as a non patron, and last time I checked all status is wiped when you become a patron.

1. Currently we don't have a feature that displays your faction total for each group. I'll talk to some people on our end and see if this is something we could possibly get in a future update.
2. Most people I know with high status have run quests for the various task-givers but have not focused on a single faction group. Your total status has nothing to do with your faction amount and we tested the merchants today to see if the lists and amounts are working. All I can say is that quite a few of you are close but we are not surprised that these lists have not been widely unlocked yet. Please be patient and I promise some of you will be seeing these rewards soon.
3. I can understand the confusion with some of the armor, while it is true that the factions do tend to cater to specific groups in the tone of their tasks and reward flavor it's important to remember that these items are more like costumes as oppossed to armor sets that are intended to be worn in combat. These prestige rewards are merely that and we matched the sets as best we could based on how they fit in with the groups visually instead of statistically. This is more of something for characters to wear around town, not out adventuring.
4. Thanks for pointing this out, I have edited in the levels at which these raids are rewarded.

Since the useability of these types of clothing are very limited, would it be possible in the future to display these in your house for prestige purposes? Perhaps on a manequin or something? I personally don't expect to see a lot of people going through the trouble of swapping out clothing just to wear around town. It has potential to become popular on a role play server perhaps, but I don't see it happening on regular servers. Thanks in advance!

1) Is your faction amount built up by city writ tasks or does the completion of other quests throughout Qeynos also contribute to the faction amount?

2) Will doing tasks for a faction reduce the faction amount accumulated for any of the other factions? A common thing for some patrons is to pick up all possible city writ tasks and then head out to complete them. If you were to pick up 5 tasks and complete them, would some of them negate the faction gained for any of the others? So while picking up 4-5 tasks at a time is an efficient way to build up status, could it be counter-productive to building up one's faction?



Reading through the previous posts, does completion of the writ tasks now display a message that you've gained faction? I haven't done any writs for a couple of weeks now since focusing on crafting and attempting to clear out my journal.

This would be a beautiful feature to have. Something along the lines of the Slayer Status posters in town would simply ROCK!


EDIT: And a question. Pardon me if this was answered elsewhere & my skim of this thread passed over it, but if we improve our faction through hunting (say, improving Seafury Buccaneers faction through hunting dervish cutthroats), does that count toward the same faction pool as the guild writs?

You don't improve Seafury Buccaneer faction by killing Dervish cutthroats. You improve Far Seas Trading Company faction, which is different (and not useful for anything, apparently).

is there a way to donate Status of ur chars pool to trhe guilds pool ?

I've asked this in another thread, but I maybe it will get answered here. Is building faction with one of the factions in a city, like buidling trade societies? As in will things be unlocked based on all the players that are in teh alliance, or the more work you do, the more access you get?

Um, is it my imagination, or was there a flying carpet as a faction reward from the Concordium at one point in time? Was it removed, or am I mistaken?

Any word on if and when a way to check the factions will be implimented?

if you do a task for, lets say Tunarians, you raise your faction for them, but lower your faction for all the others. Faction gained is higher than faction lost, so you will go up slowly for all factions if you do tasks for all of them equally. But the fastest way to gain faction is to focus on one or two factions, whatever you like the most.
