i now that its not the greatest fix and it only works a few times before you have to log out and log back in but some games have a /flush command to help clear up the cache and the free up the memory that the game is saying its using but just keeps adding to it. dont know if this option could be looked into while the dev's are trying to figure out what exactly is causing it.

Just come back to eq2 so fresh install etc, from EoF DVD, small patch. I created a new arasai and got this error after about two hours of playing, i'd just zoned into neriak. I have a E6600@3.6Ghz (i know this will get blamed but it is fine, no really), 7900GT, 4GB ram, very high quality settings @1920x1200 and Vista x64. Only common problem I saw seemed to be vista, so I have set eq2 to run in XP sp2 compatibility mode. After that I played eq2 without a problem for around 5 hours, could be worth a go if you are in a similar position, and to get more feedback. 5hours isn't really long enough from one person to say whether its worked or not. Am wondering if XP compatibilty mode limits the memory a process can allocate (its 2gb without the /3g switch) which could be a bad work around, where <any windows> x64 can allocate much more per process. Nox

The higher graphic settings I use the faster the bug appears. The more textures to see/load the faster it appears. Game unplayable as ut is now. Can we get an ETA on when this is going to be fixed? Having to run with downgraded textures is aggravating, especially when the game looks that much better with them.
