• Povar = Vapor
• E'ci = IceTarew, Povar and E'ci are the gods of water
• Rodcet Nife = Docter Fine?
  Rodcet Nife is the prime healer
• Veeshean = Heavens
  Veeshan is the ruler of all wurms
  
• Rathe = Earth
  Rathe is a council of several members that are the gods of earth
• Orly / Yarly = Oh Really / Yea Really
  Two owls from the new expansion in EQlive.
  
• Tunare = Nature
  Tunare is the god of nature and creator of elves
• Felwithe = White Elf
  Felwithe is the city of the High Elves who generally have pale skin
• Ew Evol Zilla = We Love (god)Zilla
• Ew Raef Zilla = We Fear (god)Zilla
  In EQ1 there was a Zilla temple. Generally temples are created to serve a god of some sorts, so we derive Godzilla.
  
  
  If you think of any others let me know and I will add them to the list. Also alot of the little subnotes on the origin of the names might not be 100% accurate so correct those as well.

Well, if u go into the Commonlands for the Lightstone HQ.. you have Captain Gaer and Captain Ogof Placeholders being Sergeant Raeg and Fogo.. Reversed names..

Ah but you missed the fact that they are actually Captain Rage (Gaer) and Captian Goof (Ogof) incognito. :smileyhappy:

There are also Guard Black and Guard Moor in the peatbog, and several npc's about the world are actually Dev's names reversed.

The frogs in the froglok village you port to have reversed froggie names Timrek, Pikspoh, Pohpiks, Repmuj, Reppoh, and, of course, the lovebirds. Oemor and Teiluj.

I've always been suspicious of the names of all of the guards who stand by the zone doors in Qeynos. Them and their dogs. But I haven't put 2 and 2 together yet.

The lizard men worship Alliz. Alliz has a temple. Therefore Alliz must be a God.
Alliz backwards is Zilla. God Zilla.
We Love (god) Zilla = Alliz Evol Ew

Yeah, ah knew there was more to the name than just Evol Ew/Tae Ew, but this is the best explanation for the full name ah've ever heard

The Alliz Raef Ew = We Fear (God) Zilla

The Anaz Mal Gnolls = The Animal Gnolls (it's a bit out there but I noticed it awhile back running by them. :smileytongue: )

slightly off topic... has anyone else noticed that one of the quest givers on the docks in EL quotes a block of dialog from a Ralph Bakshi film called "Wizards"? To whit: "They killed Fritz! - Those lousy, stinking, yellow fairies killed Fritz!" etc...

Yes. There was another thread that had that somewhere on the forums about a year ago.

Not only is the dialog very similar, but the outcome after you complete the quest is similar as well.

it is spelt Fennin Ro, but yea, you got the right idea on most of them.
