Test Update 9/12/2023 - New Bugs Only

I zoned into Blackfeather Roost and it crashed to desktop.

I cannot get back into the game. The "Return to Home" button is grayed out.

How do I get back in?

Dont log in or use the patcher for 15 min. Then when you log back in it should allow return to home. But every time you try it early it resets the timer I think.

Ok, thanks. I'll wait and try to return to home later.

Also change your Sky Type in your eqclient.ini beforehand. The safest setting during this test phase is Sky Type None.

Ok, something odd just happened.

When this all started, I zoned into Blackfeather Roost and it kicked me to desktop. Tried to log back in and it kicked me to desktop again.

I saw in another post where someone said Sky=0 helped them stop crashing in PoK. So I set it in the eqclient.ini. I was still unable to get in. Crash to desktop.

I left for a few hours before trying again.

This time I check the eqclient.ini and Sky=0 is still set.

I get to the character select screen. I click "Return to Home" and then click Ok. The game starts to load.

When it finished loading I'm standing at the zone in to Blackfeather Roost. I ran around a bit. No crashing.

So either I clicked "Return to Home" wrong or it did not work and loaded me normally.

I don't know why Sky=0 didn't work before but it does now.

Bottom line, I'm back in and functioning normal again.
