    46. Revamp the Extended Target Window (again)

It basically was a good idea that the target's con color got added but the darker colors (red, dark blue, green, grey) do make the frame hardly visible. Coloring the target name would cause the same problem. A solution could be to increase the line thickness of the frame from 1px to 2px or 3px or adding an outer white colored frame with 1px line thickness for consistency and visibility. The current con color does make the highlight feature a bit useless as only white, yellow and light blue cons are clearly visible.

I hope that you could also add the requested numbers in a firm order (1, 2, 3) to the x-target slots to improve the orientation.

    47. Add an Inventory Window tab for the pet (stats+gear)

For pet classes it is very important for being able to manage pet gear and
to keep track of it. Since 23 years it is a book with seven seals and many
    secret rules.
Depending on the spell level and the pet focus bonus each pet does get
summoned with very different gear. Sometimes the slots are filled with items,
sometimes they are not. Especially for the magician class it is a disaster
because it can summon additional pet gear and there is no easy findable
info available that does tell the player which pet gear is better or if the pet
could need additional pet gear at all. The one that the pet does get
summoned with (if so) or the extra summoned gear.

The method of equiping a pet by using the trade window is also outdated.
Players could even give stranger pets gear without the permission of the other
player. Pets should be equipable just like mercs by using a window tab.

Needless to mention that the players would also like to know how many
HP, MP, stats, HP+MP regen, resists, haste and velocity their pets do have.
Just like they can see it on the PC.

Add to that a slot on the INV window that only accepts QUEST TS/ Collectable bags, I hate getting to a quest and they give me a bag but every one of my bags is full or nearly full, no way to make more room so that I can do the quest.

Personally I always keep one slot empty of bags just for that reason. If that is to much to ask of some people, could you give us an mt slot that only holds quest containers. Make it so it cannot be used to hold anything else.

    49. Convert Thief's Eyes/Visions into an aura

The rogue is one of the few classes without an aura but it has a short duration and therefor annoying
combat skill/ability (UI consistency !) group song (!) that does work like one so why not converting
it into an aura ?! It would make the rogue more enjoyable and usefull because an aura does require less
attention than a 1-10 minute buff.
  7. Waring_McMarrin Augur

Why make it an aura and have people lose it when they run out of range for any reason and not just increase the duration of the buff?
  8. Iven the Lunatic

Why shoulld pullers or other PCs that are away from the rogue/group receive the buff ? The only reason I could imagine would be that the rogue is the puller so a long duration aura could be just an addition to the current short duration buff.

Auras do have a pretty wide range which is big enough for group melee combat. The buff range of the current ability might be about the same. Bad luck for bow rangers and rogue buff mules I guess. A long time buff would be devastating as it would make the rogue even more useless and turning it into a pure buff mule. This buff is one of the very few aDPS (Assisted / Attributed damage per second.) tools beside debuff abilities and poisons that the rogue does have. And it is it's only group buff.
  9. Waring_McMarrin Augur

Why shouldn't they? They currently keep the buff on them regardless of their distance from the rogue so why nerf it and make them lose it if they get out of range? There seems to be no justification for a nerf like this. Much better to just increase the duration and let people keep it regardless of where they move to.

I would love if they got rid of augmentation distillers entirely and just added the same corresponding Plat cost to removing the Aug.

    50. Add the HEIRLOOM tag to most if not all NO TRADE items

My 50th suggestion in this thread is something special, wouldn't that be a nice Frostfell gift ?
It would be so much easier and faster to wangle items to our alts and much less loot would rot.
About nobody is sharing an account with other players today so that should not cause any problems.
Something similar does get already practiced on the very popular Firiona Vie server.
Maybe exclude the newest two expansions as it could cause trouble for sharing raid loot.

Players could then pick whatever PC they do like for farming stuff and never have to worry about
that it could be the wrong one within an account or that the lower level alt could not access the
zone for looting the item, getting killed by high level mobs on its way, going LD or server coming
down, etc. They could even buy progression and raid loot from NPC shops for their alts with their
stored and useless NO TRADE alternative currencies.

Basically the NO TRADE tag could be even removed and merged with HEIRLOOM.

There are some items that are designed to always be no trade and not shareable with other toons such as epics. These items are no trade even on a free trade server.

My number one suggestion (since apparently calling it a bug just gets it ignored) is to fix the mobs having different 'hit player' vs 'get hit by player' ranges!

It's so annoying, you tag a mob, run back to camp, and 99% of the time the mob will stop just outside your range and proceed to beat the heck out of you while all you see is 'your target is too far away'.

If this was reversed and we could hit mobs while the couldn't hit us you know the servers would be down and a hotfix would be done.

Likewise with those mobs whose hit box is so small and in only one part of their body (not talking about raid dragons, regular animal-like mobs) that you have to reposition a few times to be close enough to hit but not too far that you "can't see them" which is the difference of a millimetre and sometimes requires being in a certain orientation to the mob (several of the critter mobs in VoA and RoF are like that).

If the target ring corresponded with the hit box, that would help immensely, but even that's too often not an indication of where the hit box is.

Doing inventory management with the new Tradeskill Depot and looking at my hoard of stuff, not just tradeskill but also quest bits.

It would be marvellous if the tradekill items had the skill(s) and level range(s) in the lore for the item or even just the expansion(s) of the recipes. EQ2 added levels to their tradeskill bits years after launch and it was so helpful.

It would also be wonderful if the lore for a quest item had at least the expansion noted.

OR... maybe add an additional tab to tradeskill and quest items for custom notes that would only be visible to the one who entered it (erased on trade and not visible when linked.

Could also change 'chase' code to position themselves halfway instead of max.

    Advanced screenshot options:

    2. Add the exact zone name to screenshot output files behind the ongoing serial number. Example: "EQ0001 - Plane of Knowledge.bmp". Add underscores if required. Its often hard to remember the (exact) zone name in which the screenshot was made.

    51. Make it possible to change the client based weather and daytime temporary for screenshots. In about 2/3 of the situations the player cannot make good screenshots because the weather or daytime does prevent that. Nobody does want to wait up to 36 minutes until it is daylight again. Being an EQ photographer is painfull and good screenshots are advertising the game. It could be realized with a clicky item from the marktetplace that does cast a spell or with a new screenshot mode window where weather and time settings could be adjusted.

    52. Add screenshot buttons to UI windows like for the 3D item preview window, the item stats window, and the inventory window, so that only those parts of the screen could be captured into a file. Add more infos like the item or PC name to such screenshots into the file names.

    69. The Pos1 key does position the camera on the horizon instead below of it. Looking up or down does create ascending or descending lines which should be prevented for most screenshots. It is difficult and it does take much time to position the camera exactly on the horizon with the up and down keys.

    3D item preview window:

    53. Add an always neutral light source to the 3D item preview window. Would solve the problem with different color tones and dark night shots and increase the overall quality and consistency.

    54. Add background color options to the 3D item preview window: Middle gray, light gray, magenta (255,0,255 aka #FF00FF). It would greatly increase the contrasts for dark objects while also increasing the support for user graphic works.

    55. Add an 8x antialising option to the 3D item preview window. Because screenshots and item previews do have a terrible quality without antialising. For some user graphic works it could be necessary to turn antialising off.

    56. Add a list of selectable PC races/genders and armor tints to the 3D item preview window. This would give the players many more options like item previews for different races/genders (alts) and to anonymize / standardize / customize their current PC on/for screenshots. The options settings should be storeable. It would also help to documentate items for ZAM and similar 3rd party sites.

Fix excessive time to zone. Its ridiculous. AFAIK there is no other game that takes as long as EQ.
