Not necessarily "superior", but "on par with". Superior certainly in AC. And while this "isolated" fact isn't much impact in itself, the CONSEQUENCES this little fact has, are huge. Those are that make it an immediate problem for some (who loose their "justification" to raid) and in extension a problem for all not too short-sighted to take note that anything posing an issue for the "lower" end of the spectrum is but a delayed problem for the "higher" end of the same spectrum. ANY "bump" from new expansions should do that, and did in the past. WITHOUT making raiding the last year's expansion a moot thing. So, no... Outdating a previous expansion's gear with current expansion's group gear (in basically all but foci) is not a good thing and hurting those "lower guilds" more than the "bump" is helping them.
