    I'm glad WK won't be revamped like Freeport, it'll be a seperate WK 2.0 zone like HoT stuff. If I remember the history (very minimal here), there's a cluster of undead near the WK/NK zoneline which indicated a battle/war that took place, and there's also a cluster of undead in SK just south of the bridge to NK.

    Neriak "4th gate", whatever the heck that means, I just hope that doesn't mean a revamp of the city. Freeport change was stupid and turned into a confusing maze that became abandoned by all players alike.

    Race/class combos will be interesting. Half elves, wood elves, ogres, trolls, dwarves, and vah shir STILL HAVE NO BASIC ROBE GRAPHIC! Imagine a half elf wizard, wearing a robe, but he looks naked. Derp-da-derp.

    No level increase, fine, whatever. But this means yet more gear stagnation. Is the new gear going to be a miniscule upgrade like it was VOA -> RoF? If they're making epics more viable, don't forget the pally epic. Passive healing on myself only and a cheapass nuke that doesn't work on anything higher than level 74. While some classes are complaining that their epics are still better than some new weaponry, at least they still use theirs.

    LDoN 2.0, sounds just like LDoN but with higher levels than their max (level 60-70?). Whoop-dee-doo. The points for rewards better be worth it, because the last time LDoN was released there were just a handful of augs/gear that were even worth grinding for. And please, no lame lockout timers that we have to sit and wait for to do the next dungeon run.

    Staggered content only frustrates the hard raiders, but otherwise I don't care.

    Some dragon busting through time/space dimension in EQ2 invading EQ1? Sorry, but WTF? EQ1 should have decimated EQ2's future. Nagafen is still alive in EQ2 and some brave fighters even killed Kerafyrm and defied GMs trying to intervene. Paladin epic requires killing Sir Lucan D'Lere, and yet in EQ2 he's leader of Freeport? LEARN2LORE, DEVS.

    im amazed at the complaints here from casters about no new level..istn it always casters complaining ABOUT level increases due to focus degradation? GUESS WHAT: No focus degradation this year. why complain?

    personally im glad no new level either ive enjoyed teh no-level expacs more than the level ones because teh CONTENT is generally better done because theyre not messing around with redoing every single spell ever in existence, yet again, creating new focii for every single focus in existence, blahblah blha. it also allows for NEW spell lines to come about, as they did in underfoot, new aas to be done, and better done, rather than half-ashing it or whatever. Levels have too much weight put on them as it is, the game is about exploring and adventuring thecontentwith what you ahve and improving your character FOR its level. if theres no new level taht opens the door for more options to improve at yoru level isntead of jstu the genericcuta nd paste spreadsheet upgrades for the next 5 levels yet again.

    will repeat my first comment...for an archetype that complains SO much about focus degradation, the whining about NOT havign new levels jsut floors me. how about we jsut scrap the entire game and just make 10k levels and absolutely nothing else, and see how you like that

    Casters want levels (particularly raiders that will get new foci quickly) because the flat % increase to damage on their spells for the new versions gives them an instant power boost.

    The problem with that is that there is nothing stopping sony from making rank 4-6 spells of the exact same spells we had in RoF and increasing the stats appropriately.

    The other problem with that is if the gear increases are small, they should expect their spell increases to be small as well.

    Personally, I think it would be cool if they did something like:

    Rank 3 spells put on cotf vendors (let groupers catch up)

    Rank 4 spells from named group content in t1 cotf, no runes from t1 raids

    Rank 5 spells from named group content in t2 cotf, rank 6 spells from t2 raids

    Rank 6 spells from named group content in t3(and t4 if there is one), rank 7 spells from t3/t4 raids

    The issue is in non-lvl increases expand casters see virtually no boosts. Gear is not nearly as important as spells and AAs. And taking UF for example it was 1 of the worst expans for mages because of this. This has every outlook as a UF type expan which would not be a good thing.

    Foci degradation should be dead just like Rez effects. Both need gone. It is about fairness not levels lol.

    If they have a new rank of spells or whatever it will be fine, however if its like UF where you get 3 meh spells it will be pretty bad. And with merc AAs I don't expect much in player AAs in the initial launch either.

    I like the idea of no level increase and I play a caster. It's just more mindless boring grinding. I wouldn't be mad if they removed AAs either or limited the amount there are either, just because it's mostly just more ranks of the same crap we've been doing for years. Instead of grinding out levels/aa's I'd rather be questing for gear and TS stuff. Or just come up w/something new/creative instead of the same stuff we've been doing for the last 10 years

    Are the zones the heroic adventures like LDoN was or are they zones in their own right with missions.
    Whats the final portal for in shards Landing?

    will the merc aas be available to the silver accts or will they be exclusive to journeyman mercs

    Raid and none raid questions if you do not mind Mr. Elidroth. Any chance for a defense based raid? Ie defend the city from being destroyed or keep. Like ring war in great divide but more up to date.

    Any chance for an aug/item that is powered up via quests through the entire expansion like break down in communications quest in Gates of Discord?

    Wizards need the Vortex spell that EQNext wizards get. That would offer some CC/pulling abilities to them, and still be wizardly DPS.

    thank you for the reply eldiroth. i will more than likely preorder as soon as its available for my 4 accounts. as many others have stated LDoN holds a special place in my eq memories i loved running ldons with all of my friends and random people alike

    Sadness on it not considering class composition, but cool on everything else. If it's balanced around duo with mercs, it should at least be feasible to make it work for everybody.

    Are there plans to make this system extend down for characters below level 95?

    It hasnt been done in a long time and it can breathe some fresh life into Everquest...cause lord knows, after all the disney parodies of EQN on Youtube...

    Elidroth mentioned in a recent podcast interview that adding a new class would require a major overhaul of the way data is stored in the game's database, due to the game's database having originally been designed to have a maximum of 16 classes.

    So that's unlikely to pass in the near future (if ever).

    We'd likely be better off seeking fixes and better play-style variety for the classes that exist now (e.g. fixing the issue for high level warriors where Dual Wielding is essentially always a mathematically inferior choice to either using Sword and Board or a Two Hander, due to Improved Shield Specialist, Flurry, and other factors coming together to make that one powerful mainhander stronger than using an off-hand weapon at all, even when not tanking.)

    I'd rather see a new race than class, there is too much overlapping of classes already.

    We're already heading towards "Super-Class". Let's not make class balancing even more complicated.

    I think all of you don't realize how much dev time this frees up by not increasing levels. That means there is no grind for spells (maybe a couple new ones, but no new sets), no significant focus/gear upgrades.....allowing them to focus solely on CONTENT. Now......if it turns out content is mediocre then we have rights to complain and yell at devs for spending too much time on EQLandmark. But I see this next expansion as a fantastic opportunity and I look forward to beta.
