Dark plague was the ONLY necro spell you could buy at lvl 61 when PoP came out on live back in the day. They typically gave the classes 1 of spell to start and then the rest were thru turn-ins
Has anyone gotten these missing spells yet via parchments? Apathy, Arcane Rune, Firebolt of Tallon, Supernal Remedy.
Being able to get apathy would be fantastic, at the 60-62 range having to rely on using 2 rapture spells and bank on no one hitting your mez targets after you mez them can be rough when CC is required. It makes an enchanter less useful in groups at that stage of PoP.
Arcane rune is a parchment spell or at least can be but i have not personally confirmed. Made a list of all the missing PoP vendor spells i could find. Maybe someone else can verify this? You can get Apathy and Arcane Rune from Parchments, I personally have gotten a ton of Runes and I know at least 2 chanters who got Apathy (My chanter last night had it). Other 2, I dont know about.
I've gone through bards, beastlords, clerics, druids and working on enchanter spells now. The only spells currently that are sold on vendors in PoP on progression servers are level 60 and below. All 61+ spells that are on vendors, those vendors have been removed from progression servers during PoP. So the only way to get them is through parchment turn in.
All of the Priest and Caster classes each have 1 spell that is level 61 and can only be obtained by buying it from their 61-65 spell vendor, as mentioned previously. This spell is unobtainable currently and very necessary for some classes to make leveling easier. Please load that Vendor for each caster class if possible.
Supernal Remedy should be available via a Ethereal Parchment. I'm waiting for confirmation on that to add it to the PoP cleric spells quest.
Will someone please clear up for me whether or not my Necro level 61 spells can still be researched or only obtained via the Ethereal Parchment turn ins? Thanks in advance.

Remember that parchment turn ins will give you a random spell. You're working against the RNG to get what you want.
So we're 100% sure that these missing spells can be gotten from parchment turn ins? Because I'm being told in game by lots of people that they aren't in the game at all. I've turned in 11 parchments and haven't gotten one. I've checked the bazaar for all of these spells and not 1 is for sale. You would think if they were in the game that one of them would be for sale.
I still have not heard of a Necromancer getting the spell Dark Plague yet through parchment turn-ins.
Supernal Remedy apparently should be sold by Vicar Ceraen, at least according to eqcleric.com archived posts and google's cached copy of eqclerics.org. (Scroll about halfway down each page for relevant posts.) Somewhat related: not a knock against Lucy, but the item entry date isn't always precisely accurate. Otherwise, Rusty Short Sword and Burlap Coldain Prayer Shawl were both added after PoP launched.
The lucy database came online in late 2002, right before PoP launched so most of PoP is accurate when it comes to PoP items and spells. You'll see just about every item in Velious and Kunark and Classic initial entries are around the same time, late 2002. We recently added an Original item tag for classic items. We'll eventually get all classic items tagged once we can get some more people to help with the project. That way people can search specifically for old world loot.
