Treasure Chest Location Guide from oasenhoheit and TheLoneLantern

I try and make the pictures show enough visual aid that, when cross-referenced with the map, there's no need for textual descriptions. Frankly, linking "1) Here." should be enough with 90%+ of these spots.

Anyways, here are the T1-T3 alerts. I'm not sure if I'm going to do the general alerts, as HIVE and Oolong are the only ones that I know that have locations. Can anyone confirm if Area 51, Gorilla Island, and/or Bludhaven have chests?

A few more notes before the list:
-I've run Smallville a few dozen times looking for locations 1, 4, and 6 on the map, without any success. I have reason to believe that they have been removed from the drop locations. I left the spots on the maps anyhow, and just made a note that there aren't any pics to accompany those spots.
-The Outer Caverns Raid has the exact same locations as the Alert. You can just use the same pics for that one too.
-I made the route to the chests in Ace Chemicals easier to figure out on the map.
-Arkham Asylum's chests on the map are difficult to tell by itself. I'd make a note that: 1 is Scarecrow's Wing, 2 is Ivy's Wing, 3 is Freeze's Wing, and 4 is the room right before Villainy United.
-For LoA, I'd make a note that number 1 is in the ceiling of that room.

Sure in most cases the visual helps a lot more than explaining. But I always keep in mind, that people might have problems to see the pics for whatever reason, which is why I want to add a description aswell if possible.

I never ever found a Chest in Bludhaven or Gorill Island. I found one in A51 low, which I'm not sure of if it's also in A51 HA.
In the HIVE Base I found a Chest under a ramp. This should be in both, low and HA.

In Smallville I know another location on the high building south from your No. 5 on the map. I think I found it a short while before starting this guide, so this should still be there.
I also found Chests in the ruins between 1 and 5. Just haven't done Smallville so much lately, so I didn't check lately.
I think I also haven't found a chest anymore on the former locations 1, 4 and 6 for a long time.

Is the location in the Freeze-wing the same one, which I described?

I never ever saw a chest through the floor, so I don't know if I would have found that one.

I'll keep running Smallville and look out for them. If you do spot one I missed, please take a pic and send it to me. Everytime I've run it, I've found it in one of those four locations (2,3,5,or 7) though. Do you know if more than 1 chest spawns in that alert?

Yes, the pic i took is how i first check to see if it's in that wing. I'll try and get a better pic next time.

I remember, that a long while ago we found up to three chests in one run in Smallville, same as in Oolong. But I havend looked for that in a while now, so not sure if this is still happening.

Ok, thanks. Then I will add it as hint, that the chest is allready visible through the floor, when it's there, and will add the other picture from the different angle as soon as I get one.

Not sure if it matters but Joker is my mentor and I obviously play a villain. Unfortunately I finished the quest before I looked at the name of it.

The Regal Hotel is one half of the lvl15 Mentor-Mission for Tech-heroes and -villains, Special Crimes Unit is the other half.

I tried to make my first map today (Themy), but the quality somehow came out worse than the actual file on my PC.

hehe, what I do is:
1) Press M
2) Toggle the "Show Advanced Options" at the bottom to OFF
3) Zoom in enough so that the map fills up the screen (for larger maps like HIVE Moon, Oolong, Area 51, Raid maps, etc, I need to take 2+ snapshots and edit them together)
4) Print Scrn the image to your clipboard.
5) Open up your image editing software (I use Paint.Net)
6) Paste your screencap to it
7) Crop out everything but the map
8) Add a layer so that you can paste on the number markers
9) Merge the layers
10) Save and upload to image hosting site (i use imgur)

You can use this to copy/paste the numbers onto your map:

you can just drag and drop onto your paint software and save it to your computer. just make sure that the background is fully transparent.

Ha, good to see others using Paint.NET. I need to get back to hunting these with you guys. Lantern's been so quick at it though, by the time I find a chest in an instance and screenshot it, I come back here and it's been linked to. I'll keep hunting though.

If you could focus on the chests from instances in DLCs that would be great. I'm f2p, so those are the only ones I can do.

Hehe, if you want to get some new input for the Chest locations, you could try to find more on villain-side, DLC-instances or in Raids, which is where I'm still missing a lot of pics.

I can work on raids and DLCs, but I can't do villain stuff. Don't have a villain, and it'd take a while to make one to level to where everything is.

I went exploring in normal Oolong yesterday after the rest of the pug left and found 3 chests... all 3 gave me loot.

You are right, maybe I should make my description even more precise.
If it was a hard alert, T1+, you would only get loot from one chest, because after that you would be loot-locked for the chest. This does not happen for all content below lvl 30 and not for challenges, afaik. When I farmed chests in the Funhouse-challenge, i got loot every time I rerun it.

I will add it and hope, that I still have enough characters left.

I found this little guy while I was running the Flashback Duo hunting for that chest before you hit Abra. Still can't get that one to spawn, but here's one not on the Flashback list. It's in one of those rooms on the corner...like an office that doesn't lead anywhere. I don't know how to explain it, but it's just a single room, doesn't lead anywhere. Put a map on this one...learning from Lantern.

Annnd this one outta Oolong. I know there's one in your list that sits on the pipes, but this one is below the NE set of pipes in that same area. Mapped it...hopefully that and the pic make sense. (Whoa...no idea what happened to my loadout...arg, just look at the treasure chest. )

I just dated up some of them in the guide again, but still have to add a lot, doing that one by one when I have some time..

I ran Oolong low a lot lately to get a style from there and there are definatelly additional and other locations than in Oolong T2. I'll add those in my description and will add the pics I made so far as soon as I can. We found up to 3!!! chest at the same time in Oolong low!

The last time I did a Smallville, we also found more than one chest at the same time.
