Good points. I guess I don't discount them, it's just that I was so young that just them being movies was enough to blow my mind. I guess I'd have to add all the Grease movies as well then. I do re-watch all that stuff, so I guess it does count. My bad.

Ronin is my favorite movie. Great ensemble cast, great vibe, the most macguffin macguffin that ever macguffin'd, and excellent unspoken subtones. Best car chase scenes next to French Connection.

Answer Hellraiser. The original novella by Clive Barker is The Hellbound Heart. I got so freaked out when I first saw that movie I had to go hang out in the bathroom for awhile before I could go back into the theater. It also made my 12 year old self afraid of Hell. The makeup effects for Frank still hold up.

Love them. I have the special edition dvd Re-Animator that has the pen that looks like the syringe. I miss when movies were like that.
