Ok we did this type of thread on the ps3. We now have Pc people too.

Before it was broken up by decade, which sucked as the older the decade no one chimed in.

    Ok so I'm thinking....

    What are your favorite movies?

What movie do u watch over and over?

What movie do u want to be remade or not remade?

What are your picks for the big awards for the 2013 academey awards? Aka best picture, best director, actor, actress, supporting actor, supporting actress?

I wanted to add a film called Tstoti.

It is from 05, and a great movie.

Check it out, it's from South Africa . About redemption. Interested in ur takes on this.

Watching Psycho now, can't believe it's on!

Not a director on the planet right now as good as Alfred, even if he was strange.

My mom showed me Love Story when I was young and fell in love with it. I also like Shakespeare In Love.
For fantasy movies, I like The Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Harry Potter series.
My favorite musical is TheSound of Music.
The only thing I'm interested in for this year's Academy Awards is the Best Supporting Actress category. My sister and I watched Les Miserables and Anne Hathaway's performance made us cry. Hope she wins.
  6. LL New Player

Well here are my votes for for the big awards.

    Best pic. Argo
Best director should be Ben Affleck, but he can't win, so I am going with ang lee, even though I would rather see David o Russell win this with who u can pick from

Best actor this is the biggest sure thing this year Daniel day Lewis
    Best actress Jennifer Lawrence

Best support actor Robert De Niro
Best support actress I think will be Ann Hathaway , I like Sally field

You must not have good channels cause i swear most weeks i can`t look at my tv schedule without running into one or two Hitchcocks. Well, it helps if you have TCM (also in canada there`s one called Silver Screen Classics, they're pretty big on hitchcocks too)

Favorite Movie of all time: The Shawshank Redemption
Movie I could watch over and over again: She's Out of My League (with the Star Wars movies (including the Prequels) as a close 2nd)
  12. LL New Player

lol I don't, in fact I got a new channel this week, called retro hd...it was on that...got to see magnificent 7 and Spartacus as well.

Then it went to an old rob Lowe movie. lol. Oxford blues....yet I still watched, I remember that movie when I was younger.

Those two are in the list of my favorite movies! ^_^
  14. LL New Player

I love the Shinning. I remember when it came out as a kid, that scene with the little girls, when he was on his big wheel.

lol. The fact I get to say big wheel is so cool. Do they even make that now?
  15. LL New Player

Are u looking forward to the remake of Evil Dead, should be out soon?
  16. CarlynnCarnage 10000 Post Club

No. Not one bit. I think remakes are blasphemous.
  17. CarlynnCarnage 10000 Post Club

I have no idea! I haven't seen one in forever!
  18. LL New Player

    lol

I thought the same when they re did psycho, yet they did it.

At least the people behind Evil Dead are still alive, and had some input.
  19. CarlynnCarnage 10000 Post Club

That makes it even worse to me. That means the movie isn't old enough to "update". Either way, remakes always end up watered down and shadows of what the originals are. Prime example, House of Wax. 1953, Vincent Price. 2005, Paris Hilton. Nuff said lol
  20. LL New Player

    I love ur example. :)

    Be nice to Paris :)

I have not seen the original to that. I will now put that on my list to see in the next few months.

    Have u seen waxworks 1 and 2?
