No. There was a separate AMS vehicle that was weaponless and could only seat one person. It's only defense when deployed was a cloak bubble that you could only see in close range.

Sunderers in ps1 were more of an assault-type APC. (they had 6 guns total, 2 anti-tank guns, 2 all-purpose guns, and finally 2 anti-infantry guns on the sides.)
