Really enjoying the SMG HAILSTORM, but it has caused me to dislike the SMG ARMISTICE.

Yep. The Armistice was the stealthy assassin's choice of weaponry before Stalker Cloak came out. It gave you the best odds of taking down nearby isolated targets.
Now with Stalker Cloak being a part of the game, the Commissioner is the weapon for assassins.

I already have in most areas that I play. I've been focusing on close infiltrator play for a long time, and have most of the certs and skills upgraded to their max tier. I'm "chasing directives and auraxiums" because I've grown tired of having no goal when I play, besides getting better at playing my class.
