[Suggestion] Knife Fix Maybe

You cant the cloak is so load that when some hears it behind them they turn around and kill me or the infi at question.

The option to stay cloaked and knifing someone would balance it out a bit. The Infiltrator is supposed to be a stealthy/assassin type, he/she should be able to pull off knifing someone while cloaked.

Something that may help the knifing issue would be giving it a range of how close an enemy needs to be to make contact. Since weapons have cross hairs, the knife should have a visible range indicator on how close the enemy needs to be to use it. For example, when you equip the knife, a circle appears around you on the ground to show where the enemy needs to be to make contact. If you REALLY would like a one shot knife kill, the circle could change colors to show when you are primed for a one shot knife kill. If you approached someone from the back, the circle would turn red and a knife attack would cause instant death. Anywhere else on the enemy would be a green color.

I also like the option of changing up the knifing mechanic all together, and perhaps allowing the Infiltrator to place an exploding device onto people, you would have to remain cloaked and place the device with "e", but it adds a different element to close combat and can really cause damage to the opposing side if the enemy runs towards their allies.”

The ability to knife while cloaked might be a pretty adequate compensation. I would love to be able to knife while stealthed, and if the hit registering was fixed...this could indeed give me the playstyle I seek alternate to sniping.

I think the word is "buff" not "fix" melee was never intended to be one shot, so it does not need "fixing".

I place one mine under my spot just in case someone will try stab me from behind. With exp changes its prevents enemy geting exp from me and gives me death penalty for leting my guard down. So I say yes for this change as it will bring into action more knife hunters and gives more kills for players like me

This is exactly what I, and other Snipers, would do in Delta Force.

You are right. Only infiltrators would actually FEEL the need to kill someone with a knife in their back, instead of just pulling out your gun and shooting him down .

But that's what infiltrator is, isn't it?

Try pistol surprise. I dig it and if there's someone within range who has an issue with the noise of your pistol, well if you killed your first guy in 2-3 shots, you have a bit left as long as you planned out your engagement and there is not someone else moving in to get touchy. Just make sure your first guy eats head shots.
