Two pick on one at random times. Only babies cry about it.

One way or the other there is a reason why VS and NC (in this particular case) did not fight each other on those pics. Not some mysterious bug or because TR is 'boring' or something. Not long ago it was the other way around when it seemed TR and NC do not fight each other. Heck, on those rare days when I have the time to play for more than 2 hours I see same situation in different configurations, changing every few hours.

I just presented ONE example when it seems like double teaming but it is deffo not.

It's actually technically a bug if this type of gameplay is unintended.

DBG Devs could do many things to change up how players behave in game. Including motivating them to not attack the weakest target. They don't need to "force" players to do things, they can just change the rewards in ways that motivate players into the desired gameplay behavior.

Lots of games give significantly more points for more difficult objectives. This gives players some motivation to go after more difficult objectives. Planetside 2 doesn't appear to make a big effort to motivate players to go after more difficult objectives. Though it remains unclear whether this in by Dev intention of not.

"Motivate" and "Force" are literally across from each other on the finest of lines.

And considering how much of a pain it is to fight VS, can you blame them?

Excuse me, but I see this crap for a whole week! Not once, not twice! WEEK! 96+ fights from both NC and VS sides while they don't fight each other, no hotspots, 1-12 hexes.

OK, I am not saying you are not right. Personally, I used to fight NC more but since some patches ago I find TR more... entertaining to fight. Maybe there is some truth to it, dunno. For sure NC recently feels like old TR in terms of zerging, speed taking zones and such. In fact I see way more blue than red these days but what stands behind it escapes me.

On the other hand, as VS player, I feel TR is not giving enough resistance unless they are warpgated or it is a typical Biolab clusterfck. NC, however, fight like crazy. As I said before, players will go the path of the least resistance, intentionally or not. If TR poses less threat and is easier to beat most fights will come to them.

"Carrot and Stick". Still, people are generally more cool about Carrot in their games, when it comes to being weened off the type of gameplay they spend their free time going.

No. Faction imbalance has been one of PS2's long term problems. I in no way blame players for figuring out their own workarounds to it.

And especially when there are no rewards to motivate going after a more difficult objective.

Oh look. Yet another TR whining about getting a taste of his own medicine and not liking it. Got news bub - it happens to everyone. Especially when you've made it a point to **** over one side repeatedly to the point of outfits having "informal gentleman's agreements" to not fight each other if the third side had a chance to win then calling the side you went autistic on "noobs". Sooner or later your population will drop, those non-aggression pacts break down, and then guess what? You have to face a foe that has every reason to want to do unto you as you did unto them, knows that if it can't win then it can make sure you don't, and has learned how to fight when grossly outnumbered.

Welcome to a taste of what the NC on Emerald faced for several months.

Honestly, I sincerely dislike fighting VS, and tend to avoid it unless there's literally nothing going on at the TR front. Though I'm on emerald, so.

Yeah, **** fighting VS. They are a faction consisting exclusively of solo specialists in the most obnoxious playstyles.
It's where you find Liberators, ESFs with lolpods, Infiltrators of all varieties, wraith flashes, Harrassers and no one to actually shoot at consistently.

Heh, funny, I for one actually prefer to fight Vanu over the NC. If I remember right I have 1500 more VS kills than NC.

While yeah, VS are probably pound-for-pound the strongest faction on my server skill-wise, I find these challenging fights more fun and a great way to improve as a player.

I also find the Vanu arsenal more fair to play against than that of the NC. Not necessarily stronger or weaker or whatnot, just less BS instakill deaths ala Jackhammers, Cyclones, Cannisters, Scatmaxes etc. Magriders are also a hell of a lot easier to do AV against than Vanguards.

    1) I'm on Cobalt
    2) "Especially when you've made it a point to **** over one side repeatedly" Me?
    3) "and has learned how to fight when grossly outnumbered" Wrong.

TR on Cobalt pretty much never has an organised zerg, the past year or longer VS has been zerging everyone out with TRID and NC has been zerging back with RE4 but TR has only ever had TTRO and 3EPG. The problem with TTRO is that they are terrible and poorly organised, the problem with 3EPG is that they are *ENTIRELY* disorganised.

That's why I think the good players don't want to play TR, none of them stay here and get TR organised. We've got pretty much zero top level outfits whereas NC has Hydra and VS has their 5k+ directive randoms who hang about together in voice chat without being in the same outfit. Not to mention VS's TFDN and NC's KAIN, FACS and MBn playing at about the level of RMIS, CHI and BITI who have about the same population activity combined as any single one of their VS and NC equivilents.

So like I said, VS has 3k, 4k, 5k+ directive randoms and Miller server-hoppers farming and zerg surfing together and NC has Hydra, FACS, KAIN and MBn zerg surfing and farming whereas TR has nobody in particular. On my Cobalt VS or NC I can farm TR like nothing else all day long, whereas on my Cobalt TR I can't exactly farm NC or VS at all when the organised VS/NC show up.

And you're on about some "gentleman's agreement", dude whatever the hell that's supposed to mean.
  13. LordKrelas

Gentlemen's agreements refer to mutually agreed cease-fires basically.

Organized vs disorganized; Obviously the Organized will kill the disorganized unless heavily out-popped to the extreme.

As well, your original post, and following posts act as if TR is the only one to ever have this problem, that NC & VS can't fight, not that they don't fight to a certain level constantly.
So you kinda opened the door to the replies you got.
  14. MasterOhh

Whats wrong with the TR players (#notallofthem ;) ) these days?
On Cobalt they start wailing in yell chat about how they are oh so underpop and how everyone is against them, the very moment their population drops a single point below 50% in a hex. Did the last year with all those russian zerglings boosting their world pop up to 40% prime time get to their head so much, that they don't know how to fight with "only" the 33%-34% they usually have now?

This TR victim complex is slowly getting out of hand.
