Continuing to investigate server issues

why not run the game without the patch. keep working the patch on test servers instead of FORCING IT DOWN OUR THROATS!!! i just want to play, i don't need it shiney or "pretty" i just want a smooth running game.

Once i played this game and now i want to play it again after much month, downloadet it and see that i can't???

We're two years into this thing now and any patch that has content involved crashes the servers for days. This update is huge. Why? Why not reduce the amount of content so if something does go wrong you can actually figure out what the problem is?

So, any word? Are the rumors true? Are the server crashes caused by golden snowmen being blown up and then respawned? Did an intern fall into a server rack and die?
