Fine, let's use more realistic odds. How about 60-40? Even with just 40%, the side with MAXes will be impossible to beat, impossible to break through their defense. Especially if they use half a brain to actually have some supports along with these MAXes.

I'm not trying to "play the victim" here. Just saying - leading a squad/platoon is hard work. It is hard work to accumulate and organize a large force. People do that for a simple reason: superior numbers mean superior strength. Numerical superiority is one of the basic strategic advantages.

Your idea of making MAXes available to defenders [when enemies have superior numbers] devalues that hard work, which is bad.

The badness of your idea in my eyes has nothing to do with my distaste for MAXes.
