Please do something about the cheating.

Aight, here's a bit of what I linked and you refused to look.

Your turn, link anything you have that would suggest there's such an unreasonable amount of cheaters in the game, and show us some footage of you encountering hackers in your daily play. After all, you're the one saying there's hackers everywhere. Your "proof" about 'there MUST be hackers everywhere because I'm autistic' isn't gonna cut it.

Well all i can say is that when it comes to cheating. There are various levels. Lowest would be your glitches and exploits. Some of em harmless, and some of em stupidly effective. Most players would use these. Then we have mods\hacks which can be stuff like magic bullet, ohk, aimbot. Invincibility Ect. This is your less common pool of players. Now. Im not very knowledgeable On this and more of a self aware ignoramus. But there are lots of people in the world with skillsets honed for the latter. Some cheat at games and some dont. That said cheating and anticheat software is a never ending war since the software is losing and hackers treat breaking it like a game.

Folks with extra special skilllz from the past month:

Also in the past month - 2 people with videos demoing their cheats for sale - won't be linking to those though (not that it seems to make much difference)

Most of this you have never brought up previously. None of it is useful in the least.

    1. The article is locked behind a paywall. No where at all does it ever once mention cheating in what little can even be viewed for free. The article seems to be more about cyber security and "online crimes" with regards to large-scale online works and services, such as PSN.
    2. Reddit is not official, and this post is over seven years old. It's filled with contrasting statements such as "We have very good hacking detection algorithms. They aren't perfect though. There are some things that are very hard to detect." This implies both the notable existence of cheaters and the fact that many of them are subtle.
    3. Reddit is not official, and this post is over four years old. We've seen this one already. If cheating is truly the "arms race" it's often described as, one would expect the original counter methods have long since been bypassed.
    4. We've seen this one before as well. The thread contains multiple users stating both it works and does not work, suggesting user skill in coding and computers may affect success. Regardless, the thread is older and doesn't even agree with itself one way or another. Not useful.
    5. Smedley swinging his dick around doing nothing real. "We aren’t commenting on the methods" really helps to strengthen your argument on how they're effectively restricting cheaters from even playing in the first place. Oh wait no it doesn't it's hollow and empty and indicates there are enough cheaters to warrant this activity already in the game. (I.E. more than six.)
    6. Again, really just Smedley swinging his dick around doing very little. We're told cheaters were banned but given no names. Given "[Smedley] revealed his team relished 'finding the ability to virtually tar and feather cheaters in-game,'" why were the supposed cheaters not "tarred and feathered?" This is traditionally a very public humiliation-based punishment, but they were not outed. Furthermore, no numbers were ever given and this does nothing to your claim that very few cheaters exist, only that there already were cheaters who were banned.
    7. Finally something legitimate! Only this isn't useful to us either. Not only does it not list any actual relevant data, (such as the number of cheaters found/banned/suspected or even the number of individual players/accounts) the only thing even remotely related to our little forums here is that it mentions PlanetSide classic, not PlanetSide 2. At most the paper discusses multiple potential forms of cheating in multiplayer games and potential methods of discovery, but never anything more. Not relevant, not useful. You didn't even read it, did you?
    8. This is literally just the terms of service. Are you even reading the random crap you're pulling off Goggle?
    9. A single player's gripes about being banned. He claims to not be cheating and (falsely) states this sort of activity is illegal. Assuming he was cheating, he was clearly able to cheat for some time before the ban. So what? Assuming he was cheating, a single player banned doesn't support your claims. It does not suggest anything to the number of cheaters playing and/or banned. No one is stating some cheaters aren't caught.
    10. This article is literally referring to #2, even using direct quotes.
    11. As I said previously, an opinion piece YT video is not evidence.
Yet another fallacy. No one is claiming there is "an unreasonable amount of cheaters in the game," only that they exist in notable amounts as to become an issue. (I.E. more than your assertions). Personally I imagine the number of cheaters is roughly on par with the average number of other games, if not slightly higher due to SOE/DBG/RPG's limited resources compared to other, more successful companies. (Who also deal with cheating extensively).

What cat got your tongue ?

    Bueller - anyone - anyone ?

So you may think that these scumbags were deleted immediately and all's good ?

Think again - although I can't say whether the first is still playing (why DBG allow obfuscated names is beyond me - even though the first is potentially the distant cousin of https://ps2.fisu.pw/killboard/?name=llllllllllilllllllllllll whom TRspy007 personally knows - I quote from page 2 - "2) I know him too, that's one of his alts, and there's nothing that says he's cheating, his stats are pretty mediocre tbh 27% accuracy? lol he's legit for sure, check his kill-board.") - the other two are still playing:

    https://ps2.fisu.pw/player/?name=zonafrancabcn

    https://ps2.fisu.pw/player/?name=rejventr

So basically - we have irrefutable proof of cheating on video - yet they are still playing ??? Yup.

It's incredibly sad but inevitable all things considered. I don't see any of the usual cheat deniers jumping in and to be honest - I don't blame them. I guess they have some credibility to uphold.

Reporting does nothing... as you have said "Irrefutable proof of cheating on Video" and yet NOTHING..

Hell one of them was lvl 107....

BTW where are the little re re "Where is your burden of proof" fanbois at? I wanna hear their take on the Videos of cheaters that were posted by Towie...

Just think Fanbois that is just the obvious ones, what about the guys that are trying not to get caught or using hacks that are not that noticeable like ESP hacks...
  8. Skraggz

That video on zona, not really a defense for the guy. But bad vehicle collision can cause players to terrain clip. I have had it happen to me and seen a few others happen. Though to use the spot as an advantage is at the very least exploiting if he got there by mistake, and hacks otherwise.

The video on rej could be a really bad case of lag switching (still cheating but done easier due to clientside). He walked by the window.

Either way, hope these got sent to customer support.

Rej was lag, whether forced or not.
Zona was just under the map, which is an exploit but not 3rd party.
Plenty of people use the barcode name. The one in the video was banned. The one you linked has nothing even remotely suspicious.

A strange cheat I saw but somehow Shadowplay decided to bug out and not record. A Harasser that would blink into and out of a building. Looked like they were forcing themselves to lag out and reappear on either side of the door.

Pretty sure it's also how people can seemingly take twice or three times as many bullets as they should, they stop themselves from existing or registering properly in game a fraction of a second at a time so they're only taking half the shots that land.
  11. Alkasirn

Honestly both of those could just be the server dying. I noticed a *motion spotter* blinking in between two different locations really fast the other day. (One position outside and up against a wall, the other position just randomly in the middle of a building.) Just today, I hit an uncloaked infil about 12 times and the 12th shot broke their shield. In both cases, the server seemed to be having small issues and the reported "server latency" was twice as high as I normally see it. Though that infil went and single-handedly wiped out 8+ players by themselves in about 4 seconds while I was shooting them in the back... hm.

  12. then00b

Server dying so a harasser can warp inside a building through a door it never fits through?
And then coincidentally lagging just as they also want to go out when the cap is done?
It was a friendly harasser when I was on my TR character, thought it was a weird glitch when they popped inside, but suddenly warping out at will is no coincidence.
  13. Alkasirn

I guess it depends on what you mean by "blinking". The motion spotter I saw would stay in one spot for 1-10 frames, then warp to the other spot, stay for 1-10 frames, then warp back. Didn't move around aside from that, though.
  14. then00b

The guy drove/blinked in, drove around the point while it was capping for those few minutes, no enemies at that time, then blinked back out of the building.
  15. TRspy007

You're struggling a bit, so here's a little template to make things more clear for you. Don't bother replying if you're not gonna follow that, I'm tired of hearing your opinions backed by irrelevant 'tangents' at best.

Example of what you can do to easily contradict me:

You said cheaters are rare and have little effect on gameplay: here is a video of this hacker doing ____ during my play-session ___.

Here is a link to a hacker who has never been banned ____.

    Rinse, repeat.

As you can see, hackers are not an anomaly, most do not get banned, and they are a hindrance to my daily sessions, even though I have no problem killing them.

Its that simple. Instead of twisting whatever reality can maybe confirm cheaters aren't an abnormality, show us. I don't get what's so hard about recording a session or two of your encounters with these hackers. Really, how many replies of you guys saying everyone who doesn't believe you is ********, when we've yet to see a single hacker. Show them to us! Otherwise, I'll continue to believe what I see, and the opinion of good players who actually have videos to back them up.
  16. TRspy007

Holy crap the dude with 30+ years experience fighting hackers who believes people are cheating because of their name has made an entrance!

So, I can tell someone is cheating because their name is aimbot right?
  17. TRspy007

  18. Alkasirn

Oh huh that... doesn't seem like something one could do just by installing PS2. I wonder if it's the same style of thing as this?
  19. TRspy007

Harassers are able to fit through doors. That said the dude is warping sporadically, likely due to lag. Whether it was from the server or his own side, what you describe sounds like lag.

Perhaps the guy was seriously cheating, and used a lag-switch.

Given the context you described and the state of the servers, I'd say it's just lag playing tricks
  20. TRspy007

Lol this is exactly why we wanted videos, so we can understand how moronic you people are.

Literally no one was hacking in the players and videos you linked. A guy was abusing an exploit at most.

    If the dude's a BR 107, he's probably not a cheater lol.
