[Suggestion] Nothing has changed, Resist still dominates.

I've been seeing even more resist shield HA's.

5% less(which equals 1 bullet less) IS NOT A SIGNIFICANT NERF TO THE SHIELD.

    Its completely hilarious.

The other HA shields went from 5-6 shots to 3-4 shots(Thats 2 less bullets).

For the sake of basic balance consistency & the whole point of doing these HA shield changes..................

Nerf resist shield down to 35%!.

    It wasnt an issue beforehand

resist is fine, it's effectiveness is diminished by attacking them first, the problem with the other shields is this wasn't so, a nanoweave NMG gave a player who had 100 health effectively as much HP as if they were at full. That player with resist shield is still at 1 shot status.

It was since Resist is the most used shield type.

NMG & Adrenaline were much much rarer in comparison.

Dude................ have you actually faced good players?

Resist will facerole you every single time.

It never struggles with energy(which makes it baffling why the duration was increased) and its extremely durable(1 less bullet is NOTHING).
  6. Azawarau

Heavies were meant to win out in one on one

Before they could throw out nmg flip around and kill you

Resist doesnt allow that as much, and less now even if a little

Its really fine where it is

    Are you really that blind?

The other shield types take 2 less bullets.

    Resist takes 1 less bullet.

All I am saying is that resist should take 2 less bullets like the other changed HA shields.

I've been mowing down infantry (including heavies) left and right since the patch ... and I'm not even that good at this game! Not sure what you will accomplish from nerfing heavies but I'll just take an infil cloak and mow down infantry another way if the heavy becomes the weakest of the infantry class.

If the slippery slope of infantry nerfing continues, we'll make donut wheels down the drain faster than you can dunk peanut shells in the bin.

And then it's strength would be in nothing?

RS is finally as it should have been long ago, stronger when used preemptively but weaker when being ambushed.
  10. Scr1nRusher

    How would it be nothing?

It would still have plenty of strength & resistance if it took 2 less bullets.

    Nothing has changed dude.
  11. Saokeh

It's a good reason that it is this way. If you run into a Resist shield HA that pops Resist pre engagement, of course he will be at an advantage. This is the literal strength of the shield. The main issue with most HA's was the ability to be a mediocre player and using the 1 pop shield button for Effective HP gain with no real downside. At least pumping 2-3 bullets on a flanked Resist Shield HA is and will always be better than a flanked pre nerf full Adren / Shield HA.

Resist has its downside to that up

If you dont activate it early youre losing out
  13. Scr1nRusher

It has a longer duration now.....
  14. Scr1nRusher

    1 less bullet DOESN'T CHANGE A THING.

2 Bullets? it brings it inline with the other HA shields interms of shots to take down & makes the other shield options more viable.
  15. Saokeh

Apparently you're missing the reasoning... If you flank a HA with Resist shield. 2-3 bullets will basically bring him to NWA level easily, this is without Headshots. This wasn't the case with pre nerf Adren and NMG. It was a Flat increase to survival without being punished as heavily being flanked. Resist shield is fine and has always been. Due to the ability to actually have a decent counter of having LESS Effective HP than someone who pops a straight absorb.

    Okay, listen.

If NMG provides 450 HP, but can be used anytime for maximum effect, but RS only provides maxiumum effect when used preemptively, as well as reducing strafe speed during the entire engagement rather then just when RS is active and not stacking with NW for even higher effective HP, how does it have any advantages?

  17. PasitheeVS

It can be used pretty nice with medical kit, having 833 health mathematically with full health but no shield, no matter how much RS you have left. Instead of 500 with the other shields.

Also you can use your armor-slot for something else than Nanoweave.

You do know that A Resist Ha can run nanoweave aswell?

So if you don't catch him off guard with headshots and you go for body shots...... it doesn't really do anything to him.

You say resist is "fine" but RESIST IS THE MOST USED SHIELD TYPE, WHICH MEANS THE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE HA SHIELD WERE COMING FROM PEOPLE WHO FACED RESIST SHIELD HA'S!
  19. Scr1nRusher

You do know the NS-15M exists & SMG's on the HA class right?

The slower movement speed goes out the window when ADS comes into play invoving those things.....

Also you seem to be forgetting that Resist has a higher total HP then NMG & Adrenaline shield without nanoweave factored in.
  20. DarkJackal

People run Nanoweave on Res? I run advanced shields.
