[Emerald] Why does SSGO, DA and AC tk so much?

Yes, he was the victim of that bug/glitch/feature? where you can aim at an enemy, but because the bullets don't spawn from the end of your gun if there's a friendly close to your front (in this case, he was sidestepping enemy fire while I was right next to him) then it will hit your buddy in the head instead of the enemy you're aiming at. Happens a lot on staircases. I guess he was so ******** about it he decided I deserved a TK.

The funny thing about Harvester is he is sort of a shock comedy caricature who is really good about staying in character. I wouldn't go so far to say that he is the next generation of the George Carlin or Louis CK style comic, but he sort of follows the same vein.

Meh, you can HAVE an opinion all you want. However if said opinion is wrong and or just plain stupid it is entirely within my right to chastize you for it. Which in most instances it can and will be done. Simplying having an opinion and having an opinion of actual value are not the same thing.

While you're correct, if Flapatax didn't care about the opinions and actually regarded them with 0 value then he would not respond. Flapatax's post mentioned one's right to an opinion though. Also basing someone's opinion value - whether it is relevant or not - from their stats is completely ridiculous.

What I said was simply a more...polite version of what he said. That said though, looking at a persons stats is a decent indicator value. To make a very simple example. If you try telling me the Orion is a bad weapon and that you think the Ursa is better but your time spent with either weapon is extremely low I would consider your opinion to be of little to no value because you can't actually back up your statements with experience.

Your example with the Orion is a perfect fit to your view point but in this case it does not work. As far as this forum thread is concerned, stats reflecting the skill of someone who is expressing their views of certain outfits in game are not relevant.

Anyone with a KD under 1 I consider useless and irrelevant, is all.

^^^^THIS^^^^^ is why I call DA elitist. This is the attitude I hate so much.

Nevertheless, saying "Ur bad so I'm right" is something I see festering behind the facade of elitist players all the time even if they don't blatantly say exactly that.

I want to start a meme of sorts, a corollary to Godwin's Law:

Shrap's Law: As an internet debate about video games continues, the probability of someone using his stats or those of his opponent to validate his opinion approaches one. By convention of the internet, the one who invokes this law has lost the argument.

Shraptionary: Elitist : Anyone better than him at the game. Also anyone who doesn't give as much credit to a player who can't understand the game's mechanics enough to play better than the average casuals rather than the most skilled outfits' players.

If we were to listen to your completely dumb sheite, we'd be listening to high school science class students for scientific debates instead of those who have a doctor degree in this field. We'd listening to junior league Football to implement changes in the sport rather than *** grey cup winners. We'd be asking for farmers about how to fix the daily interest rate of the Fed instead of doctor degrees in economics.

TL;DR: Giving more credit to the specialists is not elitism

DasAnfall is one of the most if not the most visible and widely known and respected Outfits within the Planetside community on all servers. One would expect to see it's members conduct their affairs with honor and dignity not only in-game but in the forums as well.

You have worked very hard to earn the respect of your peers and our wonderful community. If you are serious about the comment you made, concerning players with K'D's less than one being useless and irrelevant to you, then I am understandably disappointed in your choice of words.

In the end I'm sure it won't matter anyway but at least your on record. I would never have thought anyone from DasAnfall would speak in this manner to anyone or about another player in this fashion even if that player might have been whining or just outright lying about events that may or may not have transpired . You're better than that and you know it.

I know of no other player who spoke of the utter contempt he had for other players of lesser skill than BuzzCutPsycho. That is until today.
