[Guide] The Real Good Guys.

I have been thinking about who are ACTUALLY the good guys in Planetside 2. The reason for this is because I didn't know who i wanted to be loyal to. I looked up the background behind each faction. Their WAS only one faction before going to Auraxis. The New Conglomerate were next, and they were not happy because they didn't like the rules that the TR's empire had. So they formed a rebellion (it seems like students at a school rebelling against a rule like no wearing hats or no shirts with brand names on them). So this quarrel went on for some time, when all of the sudden, the TR started finding Vanu artifacts across Auraxis. This is how the Vanu Sovereignty was formed. They STOLE these artifacts that the TR were going to use for the betterment of mankind. So the war that we players that play Planetside 2 are fighting started. Also, no one could return home because the worm hole that led them to Auraxis closed LOL.
From these backgrounds, you can tell that the TR are the good guys. This is how I see it. The TR is the U.S.A. military (or the U.K. military but im american) and the NC are the rednecks who want the government to become better. And the Vanu Sovereignty are the terrorist organization that is trying to bring down America (TR). I hope that you may think about this and be like, "Oh ma GOOOOSH! This guy a genius! I can see clearly now!" LOL. But if not, then you are too obsessed with your faction and you have been brain washed. I apreciate feedback and I am willing to hear your opinions. Thank you! <3

The Vanu are not terrorists. We are trying to enlighten the dim-witted TR and NC. They are like neanderthals and we are an advanced society of highly intelligent people, except for Possee of course.

You are talking like you are PART of the game. this is from a view of, " idont have a faction." That part was just an analogy for what it is. The Vanu STOLE from the TR and now just want "enlightenment." the Muslims also desire "enlightenment."

This is a silly question you are asking.

There are no good guys, every faction believes they are the good guys. I mean, it's like asking to chose a good guy between a Communist, a National Socialist and a very hostile Alien from outer space.

Instead, let me ask you a question:

WHO THE HELL CARES?

If you look at it from a TR perspective the NC are like the **** party while from the opposite perspective the TR are like Stalinists. There is no space America in this game as much as people like to identify with that.

Vanu are like Ayn Rand fans or something. They claim to want freedom to be intellectuals but they are more than happy to destroy the ability of others to have peace or the things they have.

Actaully, alot of people do care. I'm just trying to help them choose a faction. I'm also not saying, "pls join TR! I want mo fwends!" And there are good guys in everything, it's just from a certain angle. Almost every movie has a rebellion and they turn out being good so thats why people chose NC. And for Vanu, some people like puple, Tobuscus, or space guns, so they chose them. And the TR, some people like bullets better, some just like red, and some just like their snazzy goggles.

Please just look at the background to this game instead of reading my summary of it then.

Actually as far as I remember the NC were actually formed back on Earth.And travelled along with the TR through the wormhole.At that time....The VS were TR scientists.They didn't break away from the TR,yet.But then **** hit the fan and Connery died.TR ways on the expedition changed.The TR felt it was safer for all of them,but it was seriously hindering both the NC and VS.They both felt they were violated,but they got along with the TR for 20 more years.Then TR imprisons some NC later on...NC try to free them....prisoners are shot by idk who....Both sides blame each other...NC breaks away....VS take advantage of it and break away as well....The VS wanted to merge the NC into them,offering them what they thought was right...The ideas of the NC were different however.The VS declared that either you convert,or die....**** started to happen between the NC and VS too.And that's what is happening right now.TR are determined to kill all,no prisoners are taken.To make an environment safe of "terrorists" and "fanatics".NC wish to be free of the TR,but they must kill all TR before that can happen.VS wish to continue studying and altering themselves based on the Vanu,but the TR wants to stop(aka kill) them.Also,they must kill the NC for choosing the wrong choice,according to them at least.

No disrespect or offense, but no. I don't wanna. This is a FPS, I don't give a damn about the lore. I honestly don't care what political, personal or historical issues the dude in my scope has but if he's not wearing my faction colors I am gonna fill him with bullets.

Don't take it the wrong way

The whole NC = space murica thing has been done so much that I think it's fine saying that none of these faction are that much like the USA. I think that a lot of media figures in the US like to tell people that their government is Stalinist or something so there is some link there I guess but really the US is both a "world police" like superpower and overwhelmingly run by things like corporate interests so really it's like both factions and neither.

TR: authoritarian government ruling while trying to maintain the illusion that their hegemony is a utopia
NC: Randian megacorporations taking advantage of public unrest to further their own agenda
VS: overzealous religious fanatics carrying out their own Great Crusade

Every faction can make a solid case they're the good guys. It's like the real world. Everyone thinks they're the good guys and will come up with a bunch of reasons why.

I wrote this where I wasn't loyal to one specific faction and I just wanted to know who the good guys were, and since I couldn't find much on it, I did my own research.

This, in a nutshell. They also have advantages;

TR: Most stable government with the fewest unknowns if they win. (Stability)
NC: Their philosophy would better the lives of everyone and promote freedom and the common good, at least in the short term. (Freedom)
VS: Arguably the most 'far-sighted', with the potential for Humanity to reach godhood through integration with technology. (Self-Improvement)

Also, the NC was formed on Earth as a conglomeration (hence the name) of corporations and security personnel that went through the wormhole with the TR. The Vanu Sovereignty was formed after TR scientists and their followers learned of the TR's plans to make Vanu technology the property of the military.
