so, in general, most swashys here can hit 1.5k pretty reliably? thats what my zerker is hitting but it would be nice to have a class more usefull than yet another plate tank and that can parse 1.5k without pulling aggro...
[p]Personally from what I can gather it isnt some magic number that Swashies aren't any good if you dont parse 1500 or 2K. It really seems to be based on where your raid force is at as a group. [/p][p]If you guild is just starting raiding LABS expecting you to break 2k is unrealistic. Even if you have better than average gear for your raid. My estimate is that a raids main swashy should be about 10-12% of the raid parse. So if your raid parse is 13K and raiding LABS HoS then as a swashy you should be in the 1300 -1500 range . If you are breaking 20K through Freethinkers then if you parse 1300-1500 you are not pulling your weight.[/p][p] Like anything in life it is all relative to your personal situation. As for no Brigands on Naggy this will not only hurt your Swashy DPS but Raid parse as well, but overall should keep you among the same 10-12% of the Raid parse. [/p][p] (Note I haves no hard evidence behind my theory, but just personal experience raiding and reading of boards on what swashies are parsing on their raids. you can go exile and you dont lose your masters you can build faction back up with qeynos so you can do respects (thanks snarks) and not lose your masters. you only lose your masters when and only when you go talk to the trainer.

They're referring to DPS on raids. In a group or PvP setting DPS is waaaaay different. As for myself, I'm also on Nagafen so you have to understand that our DPS is going to be lower without the additional debuffs. I'd say I currently parse anywhere from 1k - 2k depending on the mob. Messing around in EH the other night clearing trash and sarik and a few pulls on mistress of the tender my zonewide was about 1500. Other times I'm sitting at around 1200-1500 for most zonewide parses. Hoping to raise that once chel'drak drops my shard!

Hey all, haven't been around for a while so thought I'd clear up some stuff and thanks for all the posts and advice and whatnot. I think basically what it comes down to is group set up and raid experience/masters etc for the rest of the raid as well as myself. We've really only just started proper raiding as a guild and I think there's a lot still to be worked out, which i guess will come with time. Deity cloak is a must tho, as pointed out - just been too busy pvp-ing to get it done i think. It's nice to see some good parses - Swass's for instance, who does have the benenfit of being in a much stronger raid guild. Again, we're working on it, so time will tell. I'm pretty much half and half with master's/ A3's and my gear's pretty good, cloak aside. I'm not respeccing to Agi/Wis tho, cos I solo pvp 75% of the time. So again, thanks all. But I have to say, I made the post expecting that ppl would show off a bit, it's only natural and gives me something to aim for, but SadistiKPopsiKle w/etf your charname is - dude. you have the worst, most patronising, up your own a ss posting style... have you stopped to consider that not everyone at the same point in the game as you? [p]I'll try and find last nights in my logs, but we did Harla Dar and Gorenaire.[/p][p]Zonewide for Harla Dar was 1600 for me. This consisted of 2 fights, the 20 minutes we spent clearing trash in which I was using mental breaches and our Dirge who was playing on a laptop kept crashing, and the fight with Harla. In all honesty I probably could of hit higher but we had 2 MT groups set up to kill the trash. One tank would pull then when the mob was almost dead the other would go grab another mob, that way we were consistently burning. The other MT group had a Swashy who parses much lower than myself giving hate to Tank 2 so I had to hold back because when I tryed in the beginning...I pulled agro and died.[/p][p]Gorenaire was about the same parse for me but I also took up some tanking when one of our tanks ran OOP and the other was ported so I took a slight hit there.[/p]
You don't use your highest parsing swashy as hate transfer for the MT? Unfortunately Rip while I do like seeing the parses you can't really compare Qeynos only to exile or bluebie server parses since we're missing a ton of debuffs. Seems like I need to work on my DPS though. I'm a bit lower than some of you guys.

In this zone, Swass is getting ancestry from the mystic, luck of the dirge (w/ dps, tomb's calm, and CoB), templar blessings, and berserker buffs...which should be very similar to the buffs most mt swashes are getting. If you are parsing low, you might want to check your combat logs to see what your To Hit % is at. If you are running below 75 or 80% auto attack, I'd look into getting some gear with +piercing, and to make sure that the mobs you are fighting are getting properly debuffed, as improving your hit rate is the best way of increasing your damage.
Damn Rip, If I know you were going to be posting parses I would pay more attention on those fights =).
