Homeshow Wishlists

I would like to see more options/designs for the Guild Hall Door that players put in their houses. The current one really does not fit in any design of the houses and is quite ugly. Maybe themed ones for each city or made out of nicer wood, or different patterns that we can purchase via status/coins like the current one.

Many of the Prestige Houses could really use an alternative entrance/exit in the area they are in Lore-wise.
It just feels a bit weird to have a house in Neriak, but I must go to Freeport in order to enter it...
    just an example.
I think it would be no problem for the coders to put an additional access point into some of these cities.

    Maj'Dul
    Court of the Master
    Maj'Dul Astronomers Tower
    Maj'Dul Vacation Suite
    Personal Library
    Personal Planetarium
    Residence of the Blades

    Kelethin
    Felwithe Mansion

    Neriak
    Private Opera House

Another nice thing I would like to see is: if you jump from the Galleon of Dreams into the water, you get ported to a RANDOM beach location in the game. The Skyblade Skiff has something similar when you jump off it. That adds a bit more fun to these homes.

And finally, you have day/night cycles in the Gorowyn homes, I would love to see the same especially in the Tenebrous Island home, because it is just too bright for my taste there all the time, and a day/night cycle would really make it much more amazing (or at least a switch to set the sky to day or night).

Just out of curiosity: I know where most of the original sites that inspired the Prestige Houses are (the Opera House, the Astronomer's Tower, etc.), but where did the Felwithe Mansion come from? Was it just something that was dreamed up for Housing?

New Tunaria, afaik. Offhand I don't recall if it's an exact replica of part of the zone, or different parts of the zone mashed together.

looks like it's mostly Maj'Dul calling for an entrance to these houses, having so many, and I think many like the city because they get to see it so little, and it has a nice music and theme (the factions taking over the towers).
I think the new entrance/exit to prestige housing (for that area) could be a Djinn who will teleport you into your home, instead of this non-descript column like in Freeport and Qeynos. or maye a Bottle that you can rub, so the Djinn comes out and offers the housing destinations...

Flocks of birds. Think of the latest fish schools and imagine them in the air flying as birds!
  7. Uwkete-of-Crushbone Well-Known Member

And we wouldn't have to worry about them disappearing... ;->

Sometimes I just go through my recipe book and view items in the "Dressing Room" and think how it might look upside down or what does the back of that painting look like or I wish I could see underneath that rug (is it see through, look different from the top or exactly the same on top and bottom). That is my wish... A fully usable preview dressing room. One that can rotate 360 degrees and pitch and roll completely.

There are occasional articles in the Fora about what paintings look like, whether a rug has a "bottom," etc., but yeah, it'd be nice... ;->

On the EQ2 Furniture website, they have a four-sided "view" of the item, but not from the bottom, and I'm not sure their painting views go all the way around. :-/

Yeah I checked those out. Don't see some of the newer paintings and rugs on forum links. I have used the rotate tool on eqfurniture, but you are right, the paintings don't turn all the way around. I know it really isn't an item for the wish list, but it would make decorating with items easier. I have made a few things and realized they don't look right from underneath or the back after trying them so I just throw them on the broker. luckily I usually craft and decorate in the same place, so not a lot of running around.

    Wishlist:

Plain Glass Tiles - see through glass - like the watery tiles
    Tinted Glass in different colors
Darker Brown wood tile and matching dividers, columns, etc.
    Black Tile - not marble
Green Marble tiles - similar to the Red Marble (not as marbelized as the black marble)
Matching dividers, columns, etc for the Halas Tile

I'll have to check the city festivals when it comes 'round again, but don't the dividers, columns, etc. already match the Halas tiles? Or--oh. I'm thinking Halas stuff as in bluish stone and "ice" cracks (and even the Ice stuff), but you're referring to the wood/metal/stone tiles? Yeah, it'd be cool to replicate the stone pillars as columns elsewhere in the house, to continue the look or the "length" of a given pillar/wall/etc. ;->

More burned and/or bloodstained items. Just a few, don't want to overkill it.

    So to speak. ;->

I got a kick out of the "mystery weapons" from the Erudites (was it in Odus? Paineel?); gotta go there again and get the quests for those someday. ;->

Paineel is in Odus, but the mystery weapons are from the Library of Erudin (which is also in Odus).

There are some schools of fish given as collection rewards now. They are also 'sizable'. I have 3 different types including a school of Koi, there may be more. I am sorry but cannot remember which collections give them but with a little research you should be able to find out.

They are from the Cobalt Scar fish collections. Funny thing is that they aren't found like normal collectibles, but harvested from fish nodes. It was an interesting innovation, one of which I hope to see more in future content (from other T10+ harvest nodes).

T10, heck! Put 'em in ALL the nodes, so those of us without the $120+ to get all the expansions can have nice things, too. ;->

The reason I specified future content is that it wouldn't require trying to "shoehorn" it into the existing content. (If they could find a way to include it without messing up what we already have - then, sure, more power to them*. But that is way more difficult than it sounds.) It is way easier to incorporate something as part of an initial plan than it is to try to accommodate it later.

    * Note: I'm not claiming that it is impossible. Just that it isn't a matter of changing a few lines of code and going on a coffee break.
